Anyone that has bought the Potato Head from Toysrus, can you help us out with an item number? That way we can call before hand, rather than multiple searches? That is, assuming the person on the other end of the phone at the specific TRU can/wants to do an item lookup.
I have seen that they're located in the TS aisle, as well as the playskool aisle (back in the brigher, younger aged toys). I will be checking my TRU this week and let anyone know.

Anyone think I should make a new badge for woody? 1 piece, rather than a snap together two piece thing. Wouldnt be metal, but the thickness, etc, desgin, would all be from the current badge, cleaned up from the 2 piece design that the actual "toy" doesnt have, but was made to keep things more secure. That is if you're a kid tossing it around. We're collectors, (for the most part), so Iwould be interested in doing it.
Would be pretty cheap to make ($3 or so including shipping), but would only do it if more than 5 people were interested.

Not sure what you mean by two pieces... I mean it looks to be one piece sewn on the vest. I'd have to see it before deciding I wanted one. I do think he could use a more accurate badge, one that more reflective as seen in the movie, but again I'd have to see it first.

Someone at the pixarplanet forums found a Hamm that appears to be in scale.
More pics here.
Im trying to get some more info outta him though. on the plus side he does appear to be to scale, but I cant say I like his head tilted like that.
Edit: He is 20 bucks, apparantly made by Disney, in China.

Well, as with the available Slinky Dog, that's better than nothing! I wonder if he ever turns up on Ebay! But, as with Slink, I'd wait until the TSC line is defunct before I start buying any non TSC toys anymore.

I posted all I know Tyler, for the most part. He's 19.99, He came from the Disney store, they only had one, he doesn't know what its made out out might be ceramic, but feels durable. Doesn't come in a box, has a Toy Story 3 tag on it. It's cork is real, not plastic. I don't think he's been spotted online anywhere, but I'll keep an eye out.
Guess we wont have to make our own then huh? heh
the only advantage would be that we could make a Hamm without his head turned and tilted, but chances are it still wouldn't quite measure up to this one.

Just took a look over there, awesome pictures of that Hamm. I think he looks amazing. Like that poster, I have waited since I was 12ish for a to scale Hamm, and I'm 26 now, so I cant WAIT to find him.
I have no Disney stores near me, so it will have to be online.
I would gladly pay someone for one, or even trade my original 95 one for one (have the box back home in mint condition)
Plus, I see that theres an "unofficial" TSC Chunk!!!
http://www.kmart.com/shc/s/p_10151_1010 ... tory+chunk
He's to scale, and everything he needs to be, no talking BS, etc. Doesnt have to have the TSC label to be what it clearly is.
Kyle, can you get that gentlemenwho got the Hamm's email for me pleasE?

Does anyone know how long these toys will be out? Like the Woody and Buzz ones? I don't know how I didn't know about these but I really want them, especially these two. I saw them at the Disney store when I was on vacation in Dallas. I'm going to try and see if they have them at Toys R Us still.
Also, have they brought out Jessie or any others yet?

These mainly exist to promote Toy Story 3, so they'll be out for quite a while Im sure. Though some characters are more rare now, like Rex and RC. I think retailers are reluctant to carry toys that expensive, they dont think they'll sell well compared to the cheap versions. But the main characters should be more easily found as the demand is higher for those.
Jessie and Bullseye should be sometime within the next month.

There is NOT going to be a TOY STORY COLLECTION HAMM. Email Thinkway for yourself. They cancelled theirs, and I'm glad they did. The Disney Store Hamm is PERFECT. No electronics, etc, and its only $20. No packaging to take up the cost, etc.

I've read that the above HAMM is porcelin? That would be awesome if true. It certainly looks paint app wise the best 1:1 TS collectible I've ever seen. Looks like the computer model, looks like a rendered CGI HAMM. The gloss and everything, which isnt a heavy gloss at all, more of a surface sheen. The suction cups had me stumped on a plastic toy, but would make sense on porcelin.
It could go either way in the movie, as he appears to be at points either substance (porc, or plastic). As a replica, it looks amazing, so I'm wanting that HAMM like crazy, hhaha.

Those arent suction cups, just bits of plasic/rubber to keep him from sliding. as for what he's made out of, no one seems to know.

Mine so far, "need" RC. I saw 2 on ebay the other day for 40, but theywent FAST. Just have Sarge out, as I hate that bucket. Over the summer I'll build the display case to house them.

That's a Disney Store Hamm? Ah, when I read the mention that he was made by Disney in China, I got the impression that he was only sold in China! Well, I'll be checking my Disney Store for him then, if they are not going to make a ThinkWay one for sure. Does it seem that Jesse, Bullseye, and the bear will be the last TSC toys then? If so, I might as well get a Slinky Dog right now too...
So far, I'm all caught up with the TSC toys, including Potato Head, and today I went to Toys R Us in the hopes of finding Jesse and Bullseye. I had a 5 dollar off coupon for any toy purchase over 25, and I really need to get these sorts of things I want within April and May, because I'll be jobless at the end of may and even now, I haven't been getting many hours at all (business has been dead at Fast Signs this week and last). So, basically, my income is growing thin. But, anyway, while I didn't find any early Jessie or Bullseye toys, I did find the Woody's Round Up Guitar! It is way overpriced, but I snatched it up right away because it looks so cool and there is no Toy Story logo on the packaging!
Sorry, I know these pics suck, but I have no real camera at the moment. Anyway, they had like 4 of them, and I couldn't find a PERFECT box with a PERFECT guitar, but I bought the best one they had. Like I said, way overpriced in my opinion at 30 bucks, but I had to have it. I'll be keeping this one in the box as long as the box doesn't get damaged (as it is, one corner is scrunched, but like I said, it was the best one and I'll probably be broke when they get more). I love the lack of the Toy Story logo anywhere. Wish the other Woody's Round-Up toys and the Buzz were done like that, and especially the Bucket o Soldiers! They had Woody Toy Story style guitars that were basically the same thing but with modern Woody/Toy Story imagery on the guitar and packaging for 10 bucks less. *sigh* They are sticking it to us collectors. Anyway, I still really love it. You can't play it worth a hoot unless you tigthen the strings though, which I'm not going to do. Still probaby sounds awful, as I recall having one of these plastic string kiddie guitars as a kid (a very seventies style Mickey Mouse Club one, with hippie dressed Mickey Mouse on it).
Incidentally, though a little off topic but kind of related, I finally completed the Pooh collection I've been trying to put together for years, thanks to Ebay. It has been the other "real toy" collection I've been working hard on. Besides those two collection types, I'm focused on statuettes now and limiting my toy collecting these days.

Yeah, I was considering the gitar before, but at 35 bucks, I think I'll pass. that seems like a 15 dollar item to me.
And Tyler, if your reading, check your Myspace email when you get a chance.
