Me too! Holiday avatars are so much fun!
Mine is from art from the new online Disney Store e-mail coupon. I think it's called DisneyDirect or...something. Anyhow, I cut out the Mickey part and pasted him on the cool leafy background, but i made the background bigger and I had to cut out the snippets of words from the coupon, but anyhow it was a fun time on PhotoStudio.
I added my name because I always see ppl change avatars and think its a new person and while I"m reading their post it finally hits me who it is. So I've added my name to keep from getting ppl like me confused.

My avatar comes from a Christmas-themed episode of "Where on Earth is Carmen Sandiego?"
The lines in the avatar are from the song, "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year".

Backtracking to 1983 now to Amy Grant's first of five Christmas albums, A Christmas Album! I love it! She looks different in the cover, I think, but I like the wintery scene. I love Christmastime for, among many other reasons, the fact that you hear Amy all over the place! She is consistently the most-played artist on the radio during the holidays.
Of course with Christmas albums, all the songs become radio singles, but the well-known originals from this album are:
Tennessee Christmas (which just surpassed White Christmas as the most-covered Christmas original)
Emmanuel
Heirlooms

Nice new DVD avatar, Jack!
Nice new Jack avatar, umbreongirl!
Nice new umbreongirl avatar...wait, that doesn't really work, but good show to the rest of you too. It's nice to see new images of some of UD's most familiar faces (Amy, Doris, here's to you!).

The following posts have been lost from this thread but are pieced together as the thread originally aired in December 2004:

This comes from Amy's second Christmas album, 1987's The Animals' Christmas Album. It doesn't quite fit in with her others, as it is essentially a children's recording, though every song sounds much more beautiful and artistic than one might expect from such. It is basically the telling of the story of Jesus' birth in song form and flows like a musical (there is actually a stage adaptation) with an opera sound. Each track is a duet between Amy and Art Garfunkel. They are also accompanied by The London Symphony Orchestra and The London Children's Choir (I think that is their name). The album was produced/composed by Jimmy Webb. It's a very pretty album, but one that I can pull out and listen to repeatedly or in its entirety, as it's really a CD of songs, but an opera-esqu soundtrack.
I doubt I'll leave this as my avatar for long, as I'm not crazy about the cover.

I thought the pic of Doris off the Move Over Darling CD Box Set was kinda bad. So now it is the pic of Doris off the Que Sera Sera CD Box Set. She looks so much better on this pic.
When I was Just A Little Girl
I asked My Mother What Will I Be?
Will I Be Pretty?
Will I Be Rich?
Heres What She Wisely Said
Que Sera Sera
Whatever Will Be Will Be
The Futures Not Ours To See, Que Sera Sera
What Will Be Will Be
When I Met The Man I Love
I asked him sweetly
What Lies Ahead ?
Will We Have Rainbows Day After Day ?
Heres What He Sweetly Said
Que Sera Sera
Whatever Will Be Will Be
The Futures Not Ours To See, Que Sera Sera
What Will Be Will Be
Now I Have Children Of My Own
They Ask Their Mother What Will I Be
Will I Be Happy
Will I Be Rich
I tell them tenderly
Que Sera Sera
Whatever Will Be, Will Be
The Futures Not Ours To See
Que Sera Sera
What Will Be Will Be

This is Amy's third and most famous Christmas album, 1992's Home For Christmas. It was released just one year after the Baby Baby craze, which helped it along with its well-over-4-million-sales (and that doesn't even count the best-selling rerelease by the 20th Century Masters line, which has its sales counted separately even though they are the same album). It's also probably my favorite Christmas album. The arrangements are so rich and majestic, which most lends to its success, I think. My three favorite tracks are Breath Of Heaven (Mary's Song), which has gone on to become one of her most famous songs, It's The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year- her rendition of this really starts off the season for me, and Grown-Up Christmas List.
Again, with Christmas albums, all the songs typically become radio singles (esp. Amy's), so I'll just list originals that came from this CD:
Breath of Heaven (Mary's Song)
Grown-Up Christmas List
Emmanuel, God With Us

My avatar is Anna Faris from the Scary Movie series. This is one of the most used icon/avatar/display pictures I use and I used it off and on as my MSN display picture until recently when I adopted a Melissa Archer pic.
This Anna Faris avatar is only temporary until I make my own but I procrastinate so who knows how long that will be. I just have to be careful. I like this picture a lot and after using it for a while it's hard to let it go.
