I just got the Woody that says over 50 phrases and a Jessie doll at toysrus. The Jessie doll was on sale for $24.99 and Woody was $49.99! They did have a Woody for $24.99 but I liked the other one better. He looked more like that movie and said a lot more too. There was only one Jessie so I snatched her up lol!
Is there a Jessie with actual yarn hair?
@Kyle, I am jealous lol jk.

You bought the crappy non toy story collection Jessie, you should have waited. the proper jessie will be out soon (yes, with yarn hair). Maybe April 8th ish based on what Ive heard.

To be fair, I have seen a Yarn version of the current Jessie doll, about 3-4 months ago at TRU.
Also, that Figures.com review (just saw it before heading here, haha), is very cool. Sucks about the electronics in Mr. P though.
I'm wondering though, much like they did with RC, in electronic and NON electric versions, will they do that with Mr. P head? Release one with no internal mech, no speaker holes, no buttons, etc.
Even his damn arms are HARD PLASTIC. As soon as I get mine, I'm redoing the entire thing, throwing out the electroncs, and making a mold of the entire body etc. All I want is a god damn accurate POTATO HEAD. NOT HARD. (companies putting out shady product pisses me off, DONT CALL A CLOSE ENOUGH TOY A REPLICA!)

So after reading that review it would seem that Mr. Potato Head would go with aliens as one of the "missed opportunities" in the Toy Story Collection =/
He does look really fantastic and I'm still gonna get him of course (Mr. Potato Head was my favorite character when I was younger) it's just a shame they didn't do a better job with him.
Maybe in the future (hopefully not in the too near future >_>) we'll get an even better version.

I second that "missed opportunity" notion, but like you said, I would rather have those than not at all. I've personally still yet to get the Aliens, and RC.
On the aliens however, I really believe that they produced the best version they could. They're directly off of the Pixar files, and look incredible. BUT, we all wanted true squeak toys. However, producing them as true latex/vinyl squeak toys would result in loss of data, on things like: Crisp edges as they're cast in plastic, as opposed to softer details like squeak vinyl or latex, paint etc.
Paint on latex, is a bitch, and would look ahell of alot more sloppy than they're current plastic bodies.
And getting latex, vinyl, thin walled castings to stand on there own without looking like a misaligned squeak toy is very hard.
So in that instance, I prefer the way they produced the aliens, over a "true" squeak toy, as the latter would produce inferior product that what Pixar animated.

Well, I hate to say "I told you so" about Potato Head, but...
Anyway, still the best Potato Head out there and I'll still be excited to get him, but yeah, they are deviating too much for the sake of the electronics. The ridiculous thing is that the prices they charge for these imply the collectors like us are the main target buyers...

I know, curse my hopeful optimism... *shakes fists*
my problem was I had faith Thinkway wouldn't let me down here, but I didn't anticipate Hasbro stepping in screwing it up. I mean, I know much of the same problems would have plagued this toy regardless but at least the feet would have been the way we saw in the prototype if Hasbro would have kept their mouth shut.

I can easily return her!
I haven't taken her out of the box yet.
Also, I did see a Jessie doll with yarn hair at the Disney store yesterday.
However, I didn't like the way she looked. Her hair was to bunchy and it should have been laying nicely like in the movie.
Is the new one gonna be like that do you know?

Big Bad Toy Store has a Jessie up for pre-order
http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/menu ... ompany=102
I assume it's the Toy Story Collection Jessie. And I saw the yarn-haired Disney Store Jessie today too, but passed on it knowing they're coming out with a good one.
I also passed on a Think Way Buzz Lightyear with Utility Belt, it was like 25 bucks at Toys R Us but it looks like they're making a proper Toy Story Collection version too.
I was looking for Mr. Potato Head today but no luck =(

Hi, first post here. I actually found this place from a link posted at the Pixar Planet forum.
I have the close to the entire collection thus far, (I'll try to get a pic of my display up in a bit) but I'm a little reluctant to get Potato Head. The inaccuracies really bother me quite a bit. TylerHaslett, do you think that it's possible that you might offer a kit of your modified Mr. Potato Head down the road for people that aren't quite happy with Thinkway's offering?

OMG, she is beautiful!
Is she yours? And do you think they will have it cheaper on amazon or in the store? lol

I will offer eyes, and eyebrows yes, as well as "Dog" kits with slinkys.
The Jessie I've seen before at TRU looked like this:
http://cgi.ebay.com/Toy-Story-Pull-Stri ... 35a83dee06
But had a red blurb proclaiming "Actual yarn hair", where the "actual voice" blurb is. I cant find any pictures though, and assumed everyone had known about it? Or you do, and I'm just not reading right, haha.
Kyle, do you think you could model the Robot using this?

My Rex came in today.
He truly is massive. my collection barely fits on this shelf now.
I found a way to make some money as a caricature artist, so I should be able to get the aliens soon.

She's not out yet, you think I have connections or something? haha. But no, I have to wait like the rest of you. The only wave 2 toy that has been released so far is Mr potatohead.
As for her price, Im expecting her to be the same as woody, which is 50, give or take depending on where you buy it.

Nice new pics of Rex! I took some new ones the other day that I still have to upload... maybe tomorrow... or Easter =P
Ugh but I hate waiting for toys to come out... why can't they have a set release date like DVDs and video games?
