Over the past week, I watched the following movies:
Snakes on a Plane This movie was cheesy fun and there were some hilarious scenes.
Pulp Fiction I caught this on one of the Showtime channels. It was pretty interesting, but it got kind of boring at the end.

A friend came to my house yesterday and wanted to explore my (tiny yet expanding) Disney collection. So we watched
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs first, then
Atlantis next. I don't think the change could have been bigger between the two!!

It was only the second time I saw Atlantis and it's still as good as I remembered it. I don't know why it bombed so much, I think it was very entertaining and beautifully done!

So I watched Snakes On A Plane last night, and it totally freaked me out! I was all alone, the lights were all off and the surround sound was turned up, on top I HATE snakes, they scare me soooo much. I've never yelled EWWW so many times before, usually I"m good with horror movies since I've seen all sorts of gross stuff, but this movie just freaked me out, I'll probably get my friend to come ove and watch it with me see if she screams too

I just watched Superman Returns (for the second time) and Sleepy Hollow. I loved them both, but was suprised how good Sleepy Hollow was (at least in my opinion).

Before Sunrise and Before Sunset
Two very warm, engaging and understated films, my favourites by Richard Linklater, which compliment each other perfectly, so much so that I can rarely watch one without then putting on the other. It's hard to imagine that the story had been left hanging for so many years with the ending of Before Sunrise, but I'm glad they took their time with the sequel, giving the characters enough time to plausibly grow and change, finding themselves at completely different crossroads in their lives when next we see them. Before Sunset is one of the very few sequels that I consider to be every bit as wonderful as the original, and probably one of even fewer which benefited from leaving a sufficient gap between the two films.

The Olympic Elk
It's a great little TLA, and probably one of the most funny ones.

Cars
It's a great, fun movie, that is quite enjoyable. Maybe a bit too long, but that's okay. This movie gets two big thumbs up.
9.5/10

Rashomon (1950 - Japan): There are films dubbed as classics, and then there are those films by which all future classics are judged. Rashomon is one of those films that has not only been hugely influential on filmmakers of the last fifty years, but its very title has become part of film language. After all, how many times have you heard something described as a "Rashomon-style film"? Brilliant! Read my full review

Last week I saw my first theatrical film of the year. I saw Night at the Museum with my dad. Also last night after my Drama Exam (scenes from plays in front of an audience from 5:30-9 pm) about 9 friends and I went to see Alpha Dog.

Within the past week, I've watched We Are Marshall, which was quite possibly one of the best movies I've ever seen, Grease, Charlotte's Web (2006), Yours, Mine, & Ours (2005), and The Break-Up.

Thumbelina - Great and funny movie. The songs are probably the best part. 9/10
The Devil Wears Prada - This movie is sticking to me like glue. I don't think I can get enough of it. And I thought I wouldn't like it. 9.8/10

Little Miss Sunshine - this is one of those bizarre, Oh crap, hahhahah, what the heck is going on, crazy famliy feel good movies. It has its moments and is quite entertaining using a variety of humor. 9/10
Thank You for Smoking - I started falling asleep in the beginning, but when it started to pick up the pace I woke up. This is another weird comedy about the tobacco and smoking industry. It follows a guy who promotes smoking. It's funny and weird. 6/10 (would've been a little higher, but wasn't because that creepy kid from that Nicole Kidman movie Birth is in it and he's just creepy)

Watched episodes of
Bigfoot presents Meteor and his Mighty Monster Trucks with my grandkids. I had forgotten about these 'toons and how really entertaining they are.
It was two hours of just plain fun and a lot of popcorn was consumed.

The Lion King - Always one of my favorite Disney 2D animated films.
Resident Evil: Apocalypse - I watched this right after The Lion King. I love this movie; it's not as intense as the original but it still has its perks.
