I did some shopping at Best Buy, today.

First, the most important item on my list:

Image

The Golden Girls: The Complete Seventh and Final Season, $29.99 plus tax. I'm so glad to have this. Finally, I have the complete series of my favorite show of all time on DVD!

Then, I picked this up:

Image

X-Men: The Last Stand (Widescreen Edition) for only $9.99, plus tax. I know that a 2-Disc Edition is in the works, but, I couldn't pass on this, at this price. When the 2-Disc Edition finally arrives, I'll just sell or trade it in.

To top it all off, I picked up these:

I got them for .99 cents each! They were the last two in the store! These originally retailed for $29.99 each (or $9.99 each with the purchase of Superman Returns, when it was first released).

Plus, got more points on my Reward Zone card! All in all, a great trip to Best Buy!

These aren't new DVDs (heck, two of them are used!), but I bought "Pooh's Grand Adventure: The Search for Christopher Robin" (I only had it on VHS), "Disney's Legends", and "The Wild" (I've never seen it, but I've wanted to)...I wanted "Valiant" (I figured I might as well have both, even though I only could afford one), but Best Buy didn't have it.

Most of the time I would not get season sets out of order but 3rd Rock from the Sun - Season 3 was miss-priced so my 'rents nabbed it for me at only $8.55 total!

I got sent a review copy of the very funny Tristram Shandy: A Cock and Bull Story starring Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon. It features the two starring as themselves trying to make a film of the difficult novel, as well as a 'story within a story' of the film itself. Also quite hilarious.

A kindly samaritan also send me some DVD gifts of The Original Vic Reeves Big Night Out and Dr. Terrible's House of Horrible. Fun weekend ahead of me!

MM1, thanks for the heads up on the Superman figures! I managed to get one of each of the three busts (including a Clark Kent changing into Superman, that you didn't show...) The south Best Buy in OKC had tons of all of them...

I picked up The Last Unicorn, Curious George, American Pie: Naked Mile (unrated), Sleepless in Seattle (heh, an ACTUAL "chick flick!") and Speed Racer vol. 4 (the last one I needed.)

Those busts are nice for $0.99. Superman and Lex were $0.25 last week (wished I had went then) while Clark was $4.99. They all went to $0.99 this week.

I still need to pickup a set next time I'm at Best Buy.

You're welcome! I was hoping to get a Clark Kent, but, the location in Tulsa that I went to (Best Buy on HWY 169 and 71st), only had those two, which were the last two in the store. I need to check the other location, to see if they have a Clark Kent. I just hate going to that location, because to get there, you have to go through some major construction going on in that area.

If you go to Best Buy often, you might check (or ask a clerk) if there is an overstock area or something, where more might be... The ones I found were at the back of the OKC store, behind the computer games (and facing the washers/dryers.) Or you might see if they can look it up on the computer, and tell you if they or the other location might have any.

Are those DVDS? Who released them, and what region is it?

Littlefuzzy:
It's 12 DVDs with all the TV episodes in 6 2-Disc boxsets. I don't know if this was ever released elsewhere in Europe than just Germany.
It's Region 2, and I think the company that released it was "Alive Entertainment", a small German distributor, but I'm not sure about that.
And I heard it was limited to 888, but I'm not sure about this either.
The 6 boxsets except for the 5th one are all still available on amazon.de, the German amazon, and the box can rarely be seen on ebay or amazon marketplace Germany.
I paid 140€ which is about 170$, but the price I paid was really cheap. Somtimes you can see it on amazon marketplace for like 250$. It really depends.

This is a amazon list of the Peanuts box sets (Sorry, that it's only in German, but if you have any questions just ask me!)
