I for one am excited about the TV series. :) I hope it'll offer Kenai,Koda and R&T in new situations, maybe set them in the present day somehow, since there wasn't a whole lot going on in post Ice Age times.

2099net wrote:Well, out of all the films, I think Brother Bear most warrants a sequel. Logically the ending was complete rubbish, and raised so many questions.

Why couldn't he turn back into a human and still look after Koda?
What happens when Koda grows up?
Will he not he get lonely as a bear?
Will he fit in with the other bears?
How will he adjust to his new life?

etc.

Yes, I think BB2 could be one of the best sequels, simply for these reasons. The ending was far from a "happily ever after" one.

Goodness, 2099net! You've persuaded me that a Sequel is necessary for Brother Bear! :o
You brought good reasons...dangit! :p
(And no, I'm not being sarcastic! :) You've made good points )

*scratch my previous post before this about my being "Angry"
I am with Krystal on this one. When I first read the subject in this threasd I almost fell out of my chair and I wasnt very happy but after reading 2099net post he won me over. (Wow you should go into polotics  Lol)

Also, I love "No Way Out" and feel that the confession was more powerful with limited hearing of what was being said. Koda's "I don't like this story" is a classic line to me. It's much more powerful for me to have my imagination figure out what was said than to hear what was said and have it all decided for me.

yeah, I was bawlin at that part-im such a baby....

anyways, i hope j.pheonix returns as kenia for this!
wonder if they will age koda at all?

Koda being older would be a good idea, just for the heck of it, but it might throw the balance of little brother Koda/big brother Kenai off a bit.

Man, I want some images soon!

Don“t know, I think than some stories deserve to have the benefit of the doubt of what happen next.

oh boy!! Ask Dan05 that question and he'll tell you all about Tuke and Rutt.. and what a funny movie it is because of those two.

Brother Bear has its slow parts...the movie drags on in some scenes.. but it turned out to be a good movie. :) I suggest you rent it. I bought it as a blind buy...but I don't regret it. (it is, after all, Disney. :p)

Brother Bear is one of my favorites and I don't want a sequel ruining the great way it ended.
I totally agree! When I read about it I went... YOU HAVE TO BE KIDDING!

Why can't they come up w/new material and quit making sequels and re-makes to EVERY single movie...

I'm not impressed at all w/their future releases of movies, the good old days are gone...

And as for what it'll be about, word from jimhillmedia.com reported back in Feburary might be is that it'll focus on Rutt and Tuke, ala Lion King 1 1/2 did with T&P, and get this, he also said that it might be...3-D. O_o

But I doubt that part about the 3-D, we'll just see....
If it focused on Tuke & Rutt I'd be buying it in a heartbeat! I LOVE Tuke & Rutt!!!!

Like Roger Ebert said "It's not a great Disney movie, but it's a very good Disney movie." It wasn't as good as The Lion King or coarse but it's definatly worth your time. It has a good story, great music and hilarious moose! :D I actually thought it was better than Finding Nemo! :P

I liked it better than The Lion King, but then I was never a huge fan of The Lion King, but that's just me.

Yes, definitely go BUY the movie, it's really good. A lot of people I know who've seen the movie too say that it's really good as well. The animation is breathtaking.

Ahh, thanks!

Yes, I agree the animation is more par to the "old Disney", like in Bambi, and such when the artwork was wonderful and not "squareish" like I like to call it.

By sqaureish I mean for awhile they were drawing all the characters w/square jaws and lines, etc. It was really annoying.

Yes, I know, squareish is NOT a word... it is in my world.

I will tell him

You should definately rent this movie. I rented it just awhile back and then got a copy of it to add to my collection right away! It was a great Disney film! The characters were awesome, especially Rutt and Tuke!! Those 2 guys are hilarious and two of the best Disney characters ever! The movie had an interesting story and enjoyable music by Phil Collins. It is without a doubt a great rent or buy in my opinion.

Kenai wrote:Well, now we officially know it's in the middle phases of production, almost done. The New York Times ran an article a few months back that BB2 had begun production about June of last year, with for sure (naturally), Dave Thomas and Rick Moranis reprising thier roles, as well as Jeremy Suarez. The rest of the cast is still way too early to list yet, but let's hope Joaquin Phoenix returns. He made a great Kenai.

It was also stated (I forgot the link) that Mark Mancina is currently in the final stages of producing BB2's score.

Apart from that, that's all I know about. Is there any other tid bits to be shared?
:P I never knew there was a brother bear 2!!!!!! :!: :!: :!: :!:
Are they putting it in theaters:?: :?: :?: :?: :?: I'm gonna see it :!: :!: :!:
