You've never heard of Maleficent? And you've never seen any movies before '89? Some advice: start with Sleeping Beauty when it comes out on Sept. 9, then go with Peter Pan, then Bambi, then Dumbo, then Snow White...

Bambi looks cute. Are there villenesses in the film? :) I do plan to watch Sleeping Beauty when the DVD comes out. I want to watch 101 Dalmations again. Cruella De Vil is funny!

We don't know if there's a villainess in the film-there could be, if any of the hunters are women, but in the movie they refer to them as simply "Man".

Hello,

Although I voted for the Wicked Queen from Snow White, Maleficent is really my joint favourite villainess, but there wasn't an option to vote for a joint favourite!!

I just wish I'd known that Eleanor Audley was still around up to a couple of years ago because I would have written to her to ask for her autograph to add to my collection.

I hope that Disney Publications can be prevailed upon to publish an English translation of the Pierre Lambert Blanche Neige ( Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs ) in time for the 70th or 75th Anniversary of this classic movie. The book is a companion volume to his Pinocchio, and is a pure delight to skim through. I hope that someone in the publications department is reading this post because it really would be a severe mistake not to include this book in the American bibliography of Walt Disney, after all as well as being founded upon a Mouse, the company owes a great deal to the Fairest One of All!!

All of Disney villainesses are great, but i choose Maleficent. Great work by Marc Davis (animator) anD Eleanor Audley (voice).

By the way, i think that Yzma is one of the best works in character animation i've ever seen.

My favorites are The Evil Queen and Maleficent. The Evil Queen is the only one who gave me nightmares as a kid, but not as a Witch, as her beautiful royal self. Maleficent never actually scared me, but I still love her.
