I wonder if extra pairs will be made available for families (like those in Cheaper By The Dozen). I am one of 12 kids (all grown now) & currently in our house I have 3 young nephews/nieces along with 5 adults.
Not everyone will be watching it but there will be times when more than 4 will want to watch it together & not have to do it in 2D.

there are 2 discs the first disc is 3d and rhe second disc is 2d

i remember a website having the press release of the Spy Kids 3D DVD. i forgot that website now and i keep thinking it was here that i saw it.

The BBFC have classified SPY KIDS 3 now. Both the 2-D and 3-D versions of the film have a commentary (although it's not sure if this is the same on each or not) and the 3-D version is several minutes longer.

This is probably because there are sequences in the 3-D theatrical version (such as Floop explaining to kids how to use the 3-D glasses, and several refrences to when to put them on/when to have them off) which are obviously going to be edited out of the 2-D version.

I don't know about anyone else but I got a major headache trying to watch this movie with the glasses ... don't know how the 2D version of this movie would stand up on its own though ...

Yeah, i have to admit to feeling a little floopy (no pun intended) watching it, but it was all in good fun.
I'm not sure if the film would stand up without the 3D effects, but it certainly was pretty amazing to watch. I don't think I've seen a 3D movie at theatres before (have a couple on DVD), and I have to say it was a really great experience. I hope it catches on.
At least they give you the option on the DVD, but as I said - don't know if the 2D would hold up as well. Actually, I don't know if it will hold up as well on the small screen. Guess I will find out...

Give it a chance. I think you'll find it is a lot of fun.
A little bit like Tron, but less '80s
A few neat cameos too...
And make sure you stay for the credit. Some of the outtakes are priceless...
