Mickey's Kangaroo was Mickey's last B/W cartoon, that's why. (Just like Prince Phillip has written before.)
So I guess we all have to wait for the second volume of the Mickey Black and White Treasures set.

Hi, I know this thread is really old, but I just need someone to get me out of doubt. I was reading about Symphony Hour that some scenes were cut. A scene where Mickey holds a gun to Donalds head. Is that scene showned in the treasure? I read the review on it but unless i missed something or didn't quite understand what the reviewer meant by Tom and Jerry. Is this scene included, I recently bought this set, but haven't recieved it yet. Besides this particular short, the rest of the shorts are still intact and uncensored right?

I don't have MMILCV2, so I can't comment on the Mickey holding a gun, but the "Tom & Jerry" reference is about the censorship done to the T&J DVD sets. The reviewer (the one and only Lukester) commented that there's a Maltin intro that's skippable, and it's a better treatment to the cartoon than redubbing the voices, which I believe was one of the censors done to some T&J cartoons (along with clunky video edits of racial stereotypes).

Usually if something on the DVD is edited, the review would make a note of it, as has been done for The Lion King, Aladdin, The Little Mermaid, etc. I don't own a variety of Treasures sets, where these types of edits (or making-sure-they're-not-edited instances) were more common. But looking over other Treasures reviews, it's apparent that Disney made sure that the material was uncensored (at least for cartoons, as some sequences are cut out of specific live-action Disneyland episodes).

Well, they did censor "Clock Cleaners" and "Three Little Pigs". I know for a fact that Donald did not say that swear word, even though there are some people out there who just have too much time on their hands.

And although the Wolf dressed as the Jewish peddler was not in the actual cartoon itself, there was a short clip of it in a Maltin intro to it.

Yeah, those two totally slipped my mind, but they are mentioned in their respective reviews.
Plus, Clock Cleaners is uncensored on the Alice in Wonderland DVD, yay!

Basically the same thing could be said about several more titles. A lot (or most...?) of the old shorts have been more or less cut or censored for possibly "problematic content" at one time or another - on TV or video. The versions on the Treasures, though, are complete and uncut - except a few minor problems that others are more than happy to point out.

The entire cartoon is uncut. There's even a Maltin intro explaining about questionable scenes here, but ironically, it's not on guns and gunplay, it's on stereotypical accents and dialogue, which is what is heard coming from the Italian accent of Pete (who in this cartoon is named Sylvester Macaroni).

Thank you all for your replies. I'm so happy this short isn't censored. What exactly did they censor out of the three little pigs?

The Three Little Pigs is IMO a slightly different case, since the "censorship" in question is not of recent date for TV or video, as far as I understand. There are a few different versions where the look and/or voice of the Big Bad Wolf selling brushes has been changed - supposedly because of Jewish stereotyping.

So besides Twas the night before christmass, three little pigs and clock shop, there are no more shorts that were edited right?

"Never say never", I guess - but I think you're just about right.

The Night Before Christmas was unedited on the Treasures.

According to a site where I read that they also cut a scene where so me dolls are pulling a wagon full of dolls. And a black doll comes out and says memmy. I checked my dvd and it wasn't there so I guess it was cut.
