The official trailer has been posted online and it has completely blown me away. It's so much more dramatic and mature than anything we've seen before in Potter movieland. This is going to be an amazing film, no doubt about it. You can find it here: http://harrypotter.warnerbros.com/web/h ... rchive.jsp It's the first trailer linked on the page.

I just took my little brother to see "Scooby Doo 2," which was better than the first, but still not good. Anyway, attached to it was a brand new "Prisoner of Azkaban" trailor that is so much better than the teaser. I don't know if it has been posted online yet, but you should definatley search for it, or call your theater and ask if it is playing on a better movie, or go see SD2 if you liked the first.

In addition to loving Disney, I love Harry Potter stuff too! (but definitely not as much as Disney)

When school was back in session after my Harry Potter summer with book 5 and going on this message board, I forgot about Harry Potter for a while. Just last Thrusday I was excited for the 3rd movie again when NBC Eyewitness News played a preview of the movie after the 6:30 am weather report (I was getting ready for school). I was so surprised by it and now I'm happy that June 4th is much closer than it was June 20th, 2003 when the 5th book came out.

Oh, and WELCOME TO ULTIMATE DISNEY, Koda! :D If you most definitely think like me then you'll most definitely like it here!

Ron and Hermione holding hands, at last!
I just know that J.K. will leave any confirmation of Ron and Hermione's true feelings til book 7.

If JK allowed the hand scene, then it means she's got plans for them toghether. Why would she approve it anyway?

I may go to see Prisoner of Azkaban when it arrives here. :) I love that book so much.. *Sirius*
I have read first 4 Potter books and I have already bought the fifth book when it was released here (march 04) and I like all of them.. Anyway.. I was
really disappointed when I rented the first Potter movie.
Actors were pretty blah and all the good parts were cut out. That's why haven't watched the second movie..

A little hard to go to a lot of movies with a one year old.

I think I would wait for the DVD anyways.

Decent movies, escapist fun but no classics.

I agree that Columbus' oh-so-faithful take on the first two films was just "decent," but this time, with the eccentric Mexican director Alfonso Cuarón heading the production, it looks simply fantastic. Cuarón has augmented and uplifted the "spirit" of the book - he hasn't simply "translated" the book to film, as Columbus did - he's interpreted it. Adding little things never mentioned in HP canon, but they seem very appropriate to the HP world. Plus, he had to have final approval from Rowling on any details he wanted to put in, so fortunately the additions aren't too crazy. ;)

I know there'll be a fair number of HP purists that'll whine about the little changes, but to me, those fans can't see the forest for the trees. Cuarón's respecting the book, and - like I just said - augmenting and uplifting it by making a creative interpretation of it on film. I'd rather have that than a bland "book-on-film" any day.

So yes, I'll be there opening day, beating off the kiddies and tweeners for a good seat, 'cause I think this time around, the film's definitely worth it.

They are probably going to make 7 since JK Rowling is planing on writting 7 Harry Potter books. Have you read any of the books yet? IMO, the books are much better then the movies.
