Being a semi-purist about things, I'm also a Pixar devotee - I have my framed Pixar stock certificate from WAY back to prove it.....

Pixar has completely earned my trust and devotion, the way no other studio ever has before or probably will again (Ghibli may be the possible exception to that, as I think about it)... BUT...

Knowing Pixar's devotion to STORY above all else is SO much more important to me than the simultaneous brilliance of their animation effects that go along side it.... 2-D or 3-D, it makes absolutely no difference to me at all... If they decided to do the preceding TS3 short with cut-out paper dolls, or sock puppets, or faces drawn with a Sharpie on cans of Manwich, I would not care. They have, from the get-go, thought outside the box about storytelling and how it's been presented, I'll gladly go pay when the Pixar skywriting plane appears outside to convey whatever they are willing to give to us....

TS3 has a dang lot to live up to, but they're the only studio that can pull off the hat trick I believe they're going to.... Day and Night will still be great, regardless of presentation - BRING IT ON!!!!

this looks fun.

Also, remember Pixar's "we don't do hand drawn animation"... uh-huh... sure ya don't... just like you didn't do sequels.

I didn't really like Day and Night, I felt like it was way too long. The joke got old pretty quickly. I noticed similarities to Lifted.

I liked it. Me and my friend kept thinking some of the jokes were inappropriate, but that made it all the more funny (i.e. the waterfall scene... lol). When I saw it, I kept thinking, oh crap, did we walk into the wrong theater, and then I remembered, oh right, this is a Pixar film. That's when I realized I didn't need to worry about being late and could have gotten that large popcorn.
