I'm not sure what those three black things are around Lucy's face... IMHO, they detract from the packaging...

Looking at the packaging, I *THINK* there will be two stacks of DVDs, in the two top halves of the heart...

Oh my gosh, that packaging makes me want to double-dip even more! It is Lucy afterall, she's worth it! :D

Plus, Lucy is pretty much the reason why I want to be a famous actor someday. She's definitely had an impact on my life, so it's almost a necesity that I buy this. If only it didn't cost so much money!

Heck yes! Not only is the packaging great (well, assuming the material used is of high quality), but this set comes out the day before my birthday. I'd use my inevitable birthday money on this, but there are too many other releases coming roughly around the same time that I want to get (Meet the Robinsons, Funny Face, Spider-Man 3, Fantastic Four, etc.). I'll have to ask for this for Christmas, which I suppose isn't too big a deal considering I've waited this long to own it; I can wait two extra months.

Yes, Prince Ali, Lucy is definitely worth it! I didn't think the price had been announced. What have you heard as far as price?

Great news that this is actually coming!

Now I just have to decide if it's worth buying or not. I already have season 1.

It looks like I've found the list price of this set.

Best Buy has a pre-order listing, stating that the list price is $235.98! They are offering it at a pre-order price of $209.99! Not bad, if I do say so, myself.

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp ... id=1655836

I have e-mailed TVShowsOnDVD.com to alert them to this. Now, my question is this. Will this set include the recently released set, considered seasons 7, 8, and 9?

With this price listed, I am certainly going to be picking this up. I just wish we knew what the entire contents are.

Amazon has them beat (they're offering it for the astoundingly low price of $168.99; essentially $24 per season, not to mention the new supplements and packaging):

Click!

As for whether or not it includes 7-9 (aka The Lucy/Desi Comedy Hour), I'm sure it does. I added up the Amazon running times from all of the season sets. They amounted to 5,367 minutes. Amazon says the Complete Series boxed set runs 5,394, so I'm guessing the extra 27 minutes are supplements. Now that I think about it, I guess that shoots down the possibility of the I Love Lucy movie being included. If it were, the running time would've included more than just 27 extra minutes, unless Paramount's only counting the movie-exclusive footage and not the episode overlapping, but I doubt that.

however, circuit city says that the set is 34 pc..or 34 disks...that is to little if you add all the disk to include the lucy and desi comedy hour...i think but someone may want to check my math

Well, I have no idea how accurate Amazon's info is, but I added up the discs listed for all the season sets, and they ended up being 34.

I also hope they start putting out season sets of "The Lucy Show".

I thought about getting only one of the I love Lucy Season sets, so which one do you think is the best season? I really wanna have the Job Switching Episode, which is in Season 2, but I don't know if the others episodes are that good. Thanks for your help.

Dottie - I think the best season was the one where they made the trip to Hollywood. YOu get the priceless John Wayne episode there if I'm nt mistaken. That's season 4.
