The point is, Disney gave an enormous helping hand in making all of the Pixar films (which is a Disney company). Whether it has a Disney DVD logo on it or not, every Pixar film still has the Disney logo printed somewhere on the packaging, therefore, it is a Disney film...which is what I think numba1 was trying to say.
TheSequelofDisney wrote:Also, it doesn't say Disney Presents a Disney Film, in the opening, it states "Disney Presents a PIXAR film."
I have never in my life seen a Disney movie that says Disney Presents a Disney Film...
Anyway...
Here's my Top
10 (I think listing over half of the movies but not including the others is pointless):
1. The Little Mermaid
2. Aladdin
3. The Fox and the Hound
4. A Goofy Movie
5. The Lion King
6. The Rescuers
7. Lady and the Tramp
8. Bambi
9. Tarzan
10. Beauty and the Beast

I agree about the Pixar ones being Disney, I took a look at my VHS's for the ones I have and they say Disney on it, plus the fact that everyone knows they're Disney.

I don't like them as much as the hand drawn, but they're still pretty cool.

Ah, but you see, giving an "enormous helping hand" doesn't mean that it is Disney. And I just checked my DVD of
Toy Story: 10th Anniversary Edition and NO WHERE is a Disney logo. All it says on the front is Disney, and it's not a logo. I checked everything and not there, sorry. And no, it's still NOT a Disney film. It's a PIXAR film. Once again, it says its a Pixar film right in the opening credits. If you don't believe me, look for yourself.

27? I haven't even seen 27 of the Disney animated features...
Anyway, I'll have a bash.
In position number 1: (Practically perfect in every way)
Dumbo
(For my money, its only rival in the Disney canon is Mary Poppins, but I guess that doesn't qualify for this ranking exercise.)
Tied for positions 2-6: (Easily rewatchable)
Snow White & The Seven Dwarfs
Make Mine Music
(Yes, really!)
Melody Time
Alice In Wonderland
Peter Pan
Tied for positions 7-11: (Good solid examples of the genre for their day)
Pinocchio
Fantasia
Bambi
The Aristocrats
Basil The Great Mouse Detective
Tied for positions 12-14: (Average. Sometimes very average, but with exceptional moments)
The Three Caballeros
Fun And Fancy Free
Fantasia 2000
Tied for positions 15-17: (At least you can say you've seen them)
Saludos Amigos
The Sword In The Stone
Robin Hood
And here's the shameful moment where I admit that resting unwatched on my DVD shelves are The Rescuers, The Fox & The Hound, Beauty & The Beast and The Lion King.
The only other feature I've seen is The Little Mermaid, and I haven't seen that since its original release so I wouldn't like to judge it on badly faded memories.
So, now for my top 93 Disney shorts...

Well technically they're Disney and Pixar. Since Pixar made them, and Disney also had a hand in it they're from both stuidos. Oh and I hate to say it SequelofDisney but my copy of Toy Story 2: Woody's Roundup Edition says Disney and Pixar, and also has the Disney Logo in the bottom right beside PIXAR's name

Actually, that isn't the Disney Logo. It is the BVHE logo. I just hate to say it.

Okay so it's not the Disney logo, all I saw was the Castle, and why are you caring so much about this? If someone wants to list one of those movies as a Disney than let them, it's their opinion, their list so get over it if they didn't list things the way you would.

Well you cannot certainly list something as Disney if it certainly isn't Disney, now can you?
Well, I guess this situation is over, so lets get back on topic to the thread.

I [s]think[/s] KNOW that I love ALL of the Disney movies, so it would be hard to name 27 (why such a random number?????). I have seen only 41 of the 45 classics, but I plan to see the rest. The ones I have not seen are:
Saludos Amigos
The Three Caballeros
The Rescuers Down Under
Fantasia 2000
The ones I have not seen since I was very young (and do not own on VHS or DVD):
Fantasia
Ichabod & Mr. Toad
Melody Time
Fun and Fancy Free
The Rescuers

Ones I Haven't Seen:
A Bugs Life
Cars
Saludos Amigos
Song of The South
Melody Time
and other various new ones
Ones I haven't seen for a long time since I don't have them yet
Dinosaur
Toy Story
Monsters Inc.
3 Caballeros

Oh geez...as charmed as I am by the randomness of the number 27 (any special reason why you went for that one, Darthboy?

) I'm just no good at making lists. It's probably not a good idea for me to attempt one of that length and nature; once I've started, I can get really anal attentive about it, and I would never be fully satisfied with the end result. Bambi and Fantasia would be my top 2, respectively, but after that I would seriously struggle on how to rank everything else.

Well technically, we've done this at least 100 more times than that.
I actually don't mind making this type of thread every now and then, as long as originality is brought in(ala "Ranking 27"). My list changes all the time anyway.
Anyway:
1. Pinocchio
2. Chicken Little
3. The Lion King
4. The Jungle Book
5. Treasure Planet
6. Aladdin
7. Dumbo
8. The Emperor's New Groove
9. Brother Bear
10. Beauty and the Beast
11. The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad
12. The Three Caballeros
13. Lilo and Stitch
14. Mulan

16. Tarzan
17. Fantasia
18. Fantasia 2000
19. The Great Mouse Detective
20. Saludos Amigos
21. Lady and the Tramp
22. Home on the Range
23. Hercules
24. The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
25. Peter Pan
26. The Rescuers Down Under
27. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
Note: Yes, if any of your favorites of the 45 animated classics aren't here, it's because I've seen them and me no likey.

Wow! I thought Pinocchio was your second favorite, T/P Fan. Raising that film in your #1 ranking makes me want to watch it again.
And I know you don't like Cinderella, so there.
