Oh yeah, I have that one too. I also have the Bruno the Kid Christmas VHS as well. Used to love watching Bruno the Kid in college along with Ace Ventura. Wish I had some of THAT cartoon on tape. They came out with a "Best Of" disc in a recent Ace Venture movie DVD set, and I had just bought the inferior, previous releases of the films! The original DVD of the first film isn't even in widescreen! Ugh!

I might have some other Christmas TV show eps and specials on VHS releases, just hard to remember because I have a ton of VHS (even though I've gotten rid of about half of my collection) and don't find myself going through them much anymore.

My parents have a cartoon called "Jingle Bell Rock" on VHS, and I sometimes watch that one too. I remember when they would come out with a handful of all new Christmas specials every year on the major networks, sometimes based on popular characters like Pac-Man, and sometimes completely original, and it was always a nice surprise to see what would come out every year! It was a big deal, just like the prime time Saturday Morning cartoon intros they used to do every Fall. But, now we're lucky to get one new Christmas program from the major networks per year...

I thought I heard that there was supposed to be a new Muppet one last year, even from an official source, but I don't remember it ever airing or even being advertised. I'm definitely talking about a new one AFTER "A Very Merry Muppet Christmas Movie." Anyone know what the deal was with that?

Santa Claus Conquers The Martians (just a silly movie that is fun to watch.)

To me the most important for Christmas is not exactly a movie - it's a Disney cartoons Christmas special for TV titled "From All Of Us To All Of You" that has been aired in different "variations" in Sweden and Norway for decades - therefore a tradition.

here are some of my family's traditional "must watch" xmas movies:

It's A Wonderful Life- We always watch it at least once
Home Alone I- A classic. (My family dosen't really like the second, or third one for that matter)
A Christmas Story- a BIG classic...at least in my family!
A Christmas Carol- The one with George C. Scott...he is the BEST Scrooge I've ever seen!
Rudolph- Not as big of a tradition, but we'll watch it.
How the Grinch Stole Christmas- the animated version only. This is my personal favorite christmas movie of all time, and I really didn't like the way it was portrayed in the Jim Carrey version.
A Charlie Brown Christmas- an absolute classic. We watch it at least once per season.
A Garfield Christmas- Ever since I was little, I've like Garfield. This is no exception. It's a very heart-warming little film!
The Santa Claus- we'll watch it maybe once, 2 times tops each christmas season.
Miracle on 34th Street- Old version only! The newer one pales in comparison to the magic and amazingness that is the original!

Jingle All the Way- this one has only recently become a Christmas favorite. But it's sooo funny and cute!!

Both are so hilarious and a holiday must-see-

We usually always watch the I Love Lucy x-mas special on Christmas Eve and then sometime during the Holiday season we watch Christmas Vacation.

I really like to watch Edward Scissor hands, that movie always makes me sad.

The Nightmare Before Christmas. Both for Christmas and Halloween. ^___^ Oh, and The Muppet Christmas Carol. Cannot not watch that one.

my family doesnt have a certain movie/movies we always watch. we just go to my aunt's house and watch whatever movie they have in

I usually get most of these in during the Christmas season:

White Christmas
A Miracle on 34th Street
It's a Wonderful Life
The Santa Clause (I don't have 2 yet, but I would probably watch it as well.)
Ernest Saves Christmas
Scrooged

I would probably watch Holiday Inn every year, if I owned it. Also, I need to get at least one of the "Christmas Carol" movies... Any suggestions?

I just picked up the Original Television Christmas Classics box set (Rudolph, Frosty, Santa Claus is Comin' to Town, and The Little Drummer Boy) although I am not sure if I would watch all of them every year... It has been too long since I have seen them.

I want to grab the Peanuts box set, but again, I don't know if I would watch the Christmas title(s) every year since I haven't seen them in a while...

I have the animated and live-action versions of the Grinch, and I may or may not watch those this year...

One of these days, I want to pick up Prancer and Santa Claus: The Movie.

Other than that, I don't know of any Christmas movies I really want to get. There are several TV episodes and such I would probably want, though.

I really prefer movies about the "spirit" of Christmas, or the fantasies with a "real" Santa and his elves, as opposed to the wacky families trying to survive Christmas... Although, while I do like Home Alone and National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, I don't consider them really "classics," like the titles I listed above.


BTW, am I the only one here who doesn't "get" A Christmas Story? My brothers (10-12 years older than me) both love it...
