I did see the re-cap eps ... I actually like them ... and I always purchase the season box set with the bonus disc because I am a completist ...

If you still don't understand what a season premiere is ... or what a first episode is you should call up our good friend J.J. Abrams ... I am sure he will gladly tell you which was the first episode of the season for LOST lol

The Fray has that song out called "How to Save a Life" ... it was on the Grey's Anatomy soundtrack Volume 2 ...

I didn't get a chance to post about last week's episode because I was studying for the DAT ... So here I go ...

Last week was a Sawyer-centric ep ... When I originally viewed season one (broadcast) ... I wasn't really into Sawyer's backstory ... but upon second viewing (DVD) ... It became very interesting ...

So ... we find out that another "other" died ... due to Sun's trigger finger ... and that someone has a tumor pushing against their spine ...

Also ... that Kate "loves" Sawyer ... hmmm ...

This week's episode was titled "The Cost of Living" ... and gosh the cost of living must be a lot on the set of LOST because we had another survivor perish in the jungle ...

WHY WHY WHY did Eko have to DIE ???

Eko was my favorite tallie ... and now he is dead ... Grief ... Are any tallies (besides Bernard) still alive? LOL

Last night was an Eko-centric episode ... I always found Eko's backstory interesting and last night did not disappoint ...

Also in the ep ... We went back to the Pearl station and discovered that there is a eye-patch wearing dude in some other station on the island ...

Hmmm ... Could it be Darryl Hannah from Kill Bill ??? or Maybe a reject from Pirates of the Caribbean ???

Who knows ...

We also were confirmed that Ben is the one with the tumor ... and if he doesn't get surgery he will die ... Also the reason as to why Jack was kidnapped was confirmed ...

Ben needs Jack to perform surgery on him so that he can live ...

Juliet has been my favorite "other" so far ... and last night she rocked ...

She went to Jack to "convince" him to perform the risky surgery on Ben ... Hmmm ... She set up a TV/VCR with a videotape that had recording of her with various cue cards stating what was really on her mind ... Gotta love duplicitous Juliet!

So ... from the previews for next week ... we can gather that Sawyer and Kate have hott jungle monkey lovin ... and that Jack may be given an offer he can not refuse ...

R.I.P.
Mr. Eko

I've been following ever episode and I'm sad to see Eko go too. I'm wondering if Juliet was being truthful...or is this another ploy to mess with the heads of their captives? Does Ben really have that tumor and did he have Jack brought over ONLY to operate on him?

Wow so many questions. Oh and Kate and Sawyer monkey-love-in-the-cage thing, can't wait to see it!

Poor Eko ...

I love Adewale ... He was so good on OZ and equally as good on LOST ...

Something I forgot to mention ...

Eko's brother told him at the end something to the jist of ... "Why are you talking to me like I'm your brother" ...

Could all these visions of people that have died ... Jack's father ... Eko's brother ... even visions of things that can not exist ... like Dave ... and things from their past ... like the black horse ... be that "monster" in the jungle ... the puff of black smoke that killed the pilot ... Eko ... and nearly devoured Locke ...

I've just seen episode 5. And I'm beginning to wonder if any of the cast will still be standing by the end of Season 3!

Did I miss this, but have we found out what happened in the space between Sun shooting the other, and arriving back at camp?

^ Nothing was seen in between. There was a throwaway line by one of the characters saying that a couple of days have passed. I guess we're supposed to assume the boat group knew how to get back by foot and that nothing significant happened.

Either that or something significant did happen, and they're not going to tell us yet! ;)

Well Episode Seven is over and they are on hiatus until February 7, 2007. Tonight's episode was called "I Do", and it was pretty lame for a Fall Season Finale Cliffhanger. Typical Jack and Kate in peril and Sawyer could die......we have seen it all before........they should have done something different like have the surviviors accidentally come to the side of the island where they see that there is another island, or something like that.

16 episodes starting in February with no repeats. That will make 23 episodes in all.............next week Daybreak debuts for 13 weeks.

YAY! Episode 6 was really good ...

I loved Kate's backstory ... I think she has a very interesting past ... I usually love the Kate-centric episodes ...

Poor Eko was laid to rest ... and Locke found perhaps a clue left behind ...

Jack wrestled with the idea of "helping" Ben with a risky surgical procedure ... and turned the tables on the "Others" just in the nick of time ...

As per the previews ... Kate and Sawyer made love ... hott jungle monkey love ... and I kinda do like them together . .. She is better suited to him than Jack ... although u can tell Jack and Kate have a special bond between them ...

Back to that nick of time ... Sawyer was about to get exectued because Sun shot Colleen ... and Jack walkie-talkied the "Others" right before the trigger is pulled ...

Jack has made it so that Ben only has an hour to live because he tore Ben's kidney ... Kate (and Sawyer?) are supposed to run as far as they can within that hour ... and radio back to Jack ...

Then ... Jack will save Ben? HMMMMMM ...

Well LOST will be back on 02/07/07 ... and next week we get DAYBREAK for the next 13 weeks ... and during DAYBREAK there will be small previews/sneak peeks of the new SPRING SEASON ...

There will be 16 more episodes in the SPRING Season ... bringing the total to 22 ...

But ... I am sure we will have at least one ... maybe two "2 hour episodes" ... because there is usually a total of 24 eps ... I am guessing maybe the first new ep of the SPRING Season will be a 2 hour one ... and of course ... the explosive finale will be 2 hours ...

So yay! Just 14 more weeks until a new episode of LOST ...

The first 6 eps definitely have set us up for a great spring!

IT WAS EPISODE SEVEN (7) AND 16 MORE MAKES IT 23!!!!

Just so you know that I can count. The re-cap was Episode One, I got it straight from ABC.COM people...........so 23 episodes is going to be correct.

Loved the episode on the whole. Rather rancid "cliff-hanger", however.

Obviously you don't know how to nagivate a website LOL ...

If you visit ... http://abc.go.com/primetime/lost/index You will see that "A Tale of Two Cities" is the first episode listed under the third season ...

So ... back to the math that you know so well ...

6 + 16 = 22

There are usually 24 listed episodes on the complete season dvd sets ...

So that's why I think there will be a two-hour spring premiere ... and as always ... a two-hour third season finale ...

That would bump up the count of 22 ... to the usual 24.

YAY! Just 14 more weeks until a new episode of LOST ...

You aren't ... I liked it ... I didn't find anything wrong with it ... It was a good episode ... All 6 were great ... a good tease to whet our appetite for the 16 weeks of shows in the spring ...

14 weeks without LOST is a lot ... But I will be watching DAYBREAK to fill my 9 pm Wednesday hour ... It looks good ... and as the previews say the story will be wrapped up in 13 weeks ...

But I wonder if it does really well and gets picked up for another season ... will Taye Diggs be reliving another day over and over again? LOL ... Poor Taye LOL ...

Just let it go. Every one can count however he / she sees fit. You say 23, I say 22. No harm done.
From what I'm reading the episode sounds like one big 'meh' fest. I'll see it tonight, and hopefully it won't disappoint.

So am I the only one that thought that the cliff-hanger was the only saving grace to this otherwise bland episode (minus the awesome flashbacks)? It was back to classic Lost. Kate and Jack working together and leading the way. This is how it should be done. The rest of it was in vain of recent episodes, which isn't much of a compliment. And I know this kinda brings out the teenager in me, but I am against the Kate+Sawyer pairing with a passion. She's way too classy for him and to see 'em together sickens me. I hope once she sees what Jack is willing to do for her she'll appreciate him that much more.

I was reading on E! Online ... and one of the producers was talking about the fall finale ... and he said that he felt the first 6 episodes were kinda like Season 2.5 ... wrapping up the loose ends of Season 2 ... he feels that the true Season 3 begins in February with the final 16 episodes ...

I was pretty happy with Wednesday's episode. I have a few theories/questions maybe you all could answer.

1) Do the "Others" live on the 'other' island or is that just the plant where they do their evil manipulations/deeds? If it is where their compoud is, how is that when the plane crashed and Ben told the people to go and pretend that they were in the crash they got there so quickly? I mean, think of Ethan Rom. Could he have rowed to the other island, found the crash site of the 'losties' and blended in in time? Plus the other guy who pretended to be one of the 'tailies' was at the crash site almost right after it crashed! I think that the "Others'" compound is located somewhere on the main island....which means that Kate and Sawyer DO have hope in actually escaping if they can find the 'secret tunnel' or boat that was used to get there!

2) Is Juliet good or bad? At first I thought she was good, but seeing as how manipulative she is (i.e. the TV/VCR thingy, getting Jack to like her to gain his trust, etc.), maybe she is in it all for herself! Remember how she said that she was a fertility doctor? Maybe SHE is the reason that the "Others" are always stealing babies (i.e. Aaron and Alex, plus some of the 'tailies' that were taken away right after the crash). I know it is meant to be ambiguous at this point, but I read that she will be getting her own flashback episode in February which I'm assuming will clarify that she is, in fact, good.

3) What happened to Walt and Michael? Haven't they got a team together to look for the other islanders? I know that Michael went all crazy in the end of season 2, but he is really a good guy and his betrayals have got to be eating him up inside. Surely he has told someone! Plus how can a young kid like Walt keep his mouth shut about what happened! Wouldn't there be reporters all over the place once they were rescued asking them how they survived two months on their own??!!!

4) Does anyone else abhor the new "Kate/Jack" wannabes? Apparently they have been in the background all along and are just recently getting words in. These are the two new random people that were recently added to the show and are supposed to have been there all along. When the regular people are all in a group talking/planning they all of a sudden speak up and say crap like they've been part of "the group" this whole time!! They only have like 1 line and then go on the expeditions with them and its like the creators have cheated us. Here we've gotten to know a goup of characters and realized a certain dynamic and then they go and change it up on us. Now, I understand/like the idea of getting to know more people that crashed, but all of the regular people just act like they've been part of "the group" all along! I mean they could've used these characters for part of "The Lost Experience" or commercials or books or any other 'lets-share-a-little-more-of-the-island" type of stuff. No, the 'losties' all act as though these new wannabes have gone through the same spiritual/ethical/flashback sharing trauma together with them! It is a total cheat and I hate it!! Maybe they 'losties' could've been a little, "Who are these people?" and the new wannabes (Who I refuse to name, because naming them actually gives them a character >:( ) could've been all like, "Hey we love you guys. Can we be part of the group? By the way, I cut my hair just like Kate because I want to be just like her when I grow up." ::shudders in disgust::

I have a few other ideas/questions, but I better get back to work today. Plus I want to hear what you guys think about these first.

I think the new wannabes is simply a side effect of the fact that they've killed off so many characters, they've had to throw in some more random people just to get the dialogue out! :p They don't really bother me that much, we've always been made aware there are people on the beach who've lurked in the background and had the odd line here and there, so i've always taken it as granted that they've been part of the proceedings.

Anyway, i think the cliffhanger was fitting enough, granted if it the cliffhanger at the end of the season it would be disappointing, but between mid season episodes I think it's fine. After all it certainly poses questions about what will happen, with different characters knowing things others don't it certainly could go either way when Lost returns. Overall I liked the episode, aside from Sun's episode this also had some meaty flashbacks, unlike some of the weak ones of previous weeks.

It's going to be a long wait 'til February!

COULD IT BE TRUE ???

Huge Lost Rumor Can't Be True—or Can It?!
By Kristin Veitch
Nov 16, 2006 4:47 PM

Matthew Fox is going to be killed off Lost.

If you've been anywhere near a Lost fansite this week, chances are you've heard this rumor and have initially dismissed it, thinking, "Pshaw! He's the freaking lead of the show! They can't kill off Matthew Fox!"

But with this seemingly ludicrous rumor persisting, even the most disbelieving fan can't help but wonder, Wait a minute...could it actually be true?

Of course, at this point, only a handful of people know for sure if it's true that Jack Shepard will be meeting his maker when the show returns in February—including, of course, Lost's maker, Damon Lindelof. So, since I've never been one for patience, I went to the loveable genius of a producer himself to get the word on these Jack-out (I nearly typed something else) rumors.

And, tubers, I hope you're sitting down. 'Cause here's what Lindelof tells me exclusively:

"This is the most insane rumor regarding Lost to date. The fact that you think we might do it is incredibly flattering."

Now, if you're like me, your heart leaped, then sank, upon hearing these words. While it might seem a denial at first—oh, dear friends, how it is not. To the contrary, Lindelof finds the idea that they'd be brave enough to kill off our fearless, Other-defying leader (gasp!) flattering.

All I can say is: Run, Jack, run for your liiife!

Don't forget this is the same man who told us it was "absolutely not true" that Michelle Rodriguez would be killed off for bad behavior. She was killed off, but not for bad behavior. Tricky, tricky.

Meanwhile, along with Lindelof's statement, there are a few factual snippets that could point to a Foxy demise:

* Spoiler alert! We know Juliet shoots someone on the beach in an upcoming episode—and it is supposedly a huge plot point. Eeek!
* We know Matthew Fox stars in a new movie called We Are Marshall, (sadly, not an Alias spinoff) which is already starting to get a few whispers here and there of the big O word. (Not Oprah. The awards one. Word is his performance is that good.) So, it stands to reason that Foxy could want to move on to a big, fancy film career.
* We know that in the primary genesis of Lost, the initial plan was to kill off Jack by the end of the first episode. Of course, that was when a guest star like Michael Keaton would be playing him, but still, the idea was to prove to viewers that this is a show where anything can happen—a statement that could certainly give the show new life/buzz/ratings in its third season.

And, well, jeez. That said, I can't believe I'm about to utter these words, but it might actually not be all that bad...

Am I being crazy? I am, aren't I?
