Is this the first person to die listening to Aerosmith?

In all seriousness, I'm slipping, because this is the first time I have heard of this news!
Just Myself wrote:The autopsy has revealed that he had a congenital heart defect:
As seems to be the response in many of these cases. It is one of those things: it is IMPOSSIBLE to predict how the body will respond to these things, and if you are unaware of a defect, you are going in as completely unaware as Disney. Mind you, I think Disney is still obligated to make amends given the 'egg-shell skull' principle of torts.

I was looking at the WDW DVD (the History Channel Modern Marvels one) a few weeks ago, and the ride does look pretty intense. It is stories like this that made me frightened of rollercoasters to start with, but then again, riding the Tower of Terror made me WANT to ride more.

Tragic news indeed, especially coming so soon after the Mission: Space tragedy. Really though - what is the solution? Have a full medical check of every person before they enter the park, or close down any ride more extreme than the Mad Hatter Tea Cups?

What? I find both coasters tolorable, but there is no way I would say that Screamin' (which has only one loop, is slower, and much smoother) is more intense than RRC even though RRC is much shorter.

My mom told me about this today. I guess it did scare me a little, but when I consider just how many people get on that ride, the chances are very, very slim, even if you are unaware of any medical problems. My mom's side of the family does have a history of heart conditions though, but then again she's been on the ride before. I think it's a chance worth taking. After all, "some 36.6 million people have been on the ride, according to Disney."

It's scare to think that you could be going on a ride and assume your in great health because your and and feel great, and end up dying because of something like this. There's know way to know until it's too late.

I'm going to soon launch a new series in my Disney podcast, Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Pod, entitled "Disney On Board" (or maybe "Disney On Track," I haven't really decided). The idea is for it to be an attraction discussion series, inspired by the movie discussions on the "MousePod" show and the threads we used to have going here. The first show will be on Rock 'n Rollercoaster and I'll be posting either this week or in 2 weeks. I'd really like to include listener input in the show as well. So, if you're a ZADDP listener, please send in your thoughts and/or anecdotes relating to the attraction. A brief email or phone call will do. I'll be discussing the recent death, so you can address that, or you can talk in more general terms about the ride itself. Any submissions will be appreciated! I've gotten a few so far but would like to have a few more. Thanks. :)
