I can def. see the influences for Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow.

I think that is the way to really make a show timeless. Take past and future elements. Batman, Ducktales, Talespin all did this perfectly.

Very timeless indeed. :) Couldn't have said it better.

Just because the information comes from TVShowsonDVD doesn't mean that's it automatically to be trusted. Disney has not announced this. TVShowsonDVD may have gotten this from someone connected to Disney, but there's no verification for it outside of their own report. And given that TVShowsonDVD regularly steals news reports from UltimateDisney and posts it on their own site without any credit (unless you count the occasional, uber-subtle swipe at UD as credit), I see no reason for Luke to give them credit on UD, and UD's standards are too high to just rip the report off of TVShowsonDVD like they do to UD.

Be aware, also, that Talespin's DVD debut is mentioned on Wikipedia as well, but the citation in that news item links back to TVShowsonDVD.

While there may be a kernel of truth here, it won't be until Disney puts out an official press release that anything will be set in stone. Perhaps by the start of summer we will know something for sure. In the meantime, there's nothing wrong with hoping (I for one am), but for now it's just a scoop.

Well, I'm hoping it's true. It's still April so hopefully a press release will follow in the next couple of months.
