Wikipedia wrote:It's a Disney Channel Original Movie otherwise known as a DCOM. This movie will be directed by David Jackson and is not a musical.
But I really dont know. Both IMDB and Wikipedia arent the most reliable sources. Who knows? It could just be a crazy rumor thats gotten out of control.

Sara Paxton In Halloweentown 4 ?

Please, god, tell me that it's just a stupid, stupid rumour. I read several places that Sara Paxton is going to replace Kimberly J. Brown as Marnie in the next Halloweentown movie. Please tell me that this is just a wiki/imdb type rumour and just something that somebody wishes will happen. It just wouldn't be Halloweentown without Miss Brown. I hope above all hopes that this isn't true. Has anyone else here heard this crap ? What can Disney/the casting company that Disney used be thinking ?

I don't know what Sara Paxtons acting is like, but even if it's crap, Disney wouldn't have a problem replacing Kimberly J. Brown. If Disney thinks that more people would enjoy the movie without Kimberley, then they'd probably replace her. But then again they're probably just grooming Sara to be another Disney princess, like other DC stars such as Ashley Tisdale, Annaliese van der Pol, Hilary Duff, Christy Carlson Romano, LaLaine, Raven Symone, etc. I don't know if the films would be the same without her though.

New Extended Halloweentown Trailer!! Not sure what to think!

Okay, haven't posted on here for a while (mainly because I've been swept into the craze of Battlestar Galactica, scifi.com/battlestar)... but anway. I'm here to post about Halloweentown 4.

I'm sick of not know anything about this? You know? I'm dying for a preview or a picture. Know anything? A poster? ANYONE KNOW ANYTHING. PLEASE HELP!

Also, to help you guys. Here's what I know:

1. Sara Paxton has replaced Kimberly J. Brown. And I know she dyes her hair... because I did find a set picture (but somehow lost it).
2. It's gonna be released in October.
3. IMDB.com has released a hand full of cast notices. A lot of new characters.
4. I read somewhere that Debbie Reynolds only makes a guest appearence.
5. And here is the synopsis: It takes place at Witch University (in Halloweentown!!! I hope that means that we will finally see Halloweentown town square again). Of course her mom objects (surprise, surprise). But magic isn't allowed at school, and Marnie is harassed by three evil witch sisters. Also, a prophecy threatents to destroy both worlds (really?!!! Oh, that happened the past three movies).

I'm worried that this film is going to destroy the feel of the Halloweentown Trilogy. Though, it's not a trilogy. Who ever thought that they would make a new one???? Maybe they will show a preview for the new movie during the Cheetah Girls premeir. If so... tell me!!!! I've, to tell you the truth, lost interest in the series a while ago. But, it's almost that time of year again. And you know that the feeling of fall and october changes you. Thanks. -Mike

Sara Paxton is a horrible actress, and I'd rather they kept Kimberly J Brown. But, I don't really expect much from DCOMs (they're not Masterpiece Theater ya know?), so I'll let this abomination of a casting choice slip by. Besides, at least they've still got the original mom, the original Dylan, and mustered a cameo for Debbie Reynolds.

I'll probably catch it on the Disney Channel just out of curiosity. But for me, the Halloweentown series ended with the trilogy (and with Kimberly J Brown).

I don't know. I think Sara Paxton not being Marnie sounds a tad werid, I thought it was great as a trilogy, and Debbie Reynolds IS Halloweentown! I mean if she is just a "guest appearence" I will not be happy! :x But there is a small chance it will be good so... fingers crossed.

Trailer in Cheetah?

Hey guys, was there a trailer for Halloweentown IV during THe Cheetah Girls 2?

If this film goes the way its headed, I might have to consider Halloweentown simply a trilogy, and refuse to believe this existed. Lets see...

A NEW MARNIE!?!?!?!?!? WHAT???!?!?!?!? How can that be possible???? If they couldn't get Kimberly J Brown, then they shouldn't be making this movie at all!!!!!!

And Debbie Reynolds in only a guest appearance?????? I object!

So far, the odds are way against this film, but I will give it a chance (since it is an Halloweentown movie). But my expectations are gonna be pretty low.

Hmm...

I will see the movie, because the Halloweentown DCOMs have always provided me with the cheap thrills and fun characters that they were meant for.

I am a little tiffed about Kimberly J. Brown not being Marnie...she wasn't a bad actress, and her character was so likable...I don't know how I'll feel about Sara Paxton, whom I've never seen in a film role. Also, Debbie Reynolds was, in my opinion, a drag on the series. Her not having a major role might actually boost the movie's dignity. This way, Marnie will have to finally be on her own, with no help from her grandmother.

Like I said, though, I will be seeing this film.

ok, i saw the trailer.....it looked like crap. Sara Paxton is a terrible Marnie, there is absolutly no Sophie, and Aggie only makes a cameo. Its now officially retitled "Return to Halloweentown" and I honestly dont know what to think. Dylan is there as a main charcter and so is Lucas Greebal. im scared.....

Yeah, anyone know where I can see the trailer????

P. S. I like the "Return to Halloweentown" title better than Halloweentown: Witch U. That's dumb.... but I'm with Sofaking. This movie, without Kimberly J. Brown, well, isn't gonna be the same. She, with Debbie Reynolds made the movies.

It premiered during the Cheetah Girls 2 on Friday. It was the 3rd commerical break. I have it on my DVR. I can copy it to a video, bring it upstairs burn it onto my DVD Recorder's Hard Drive and then burn a DVD. Then I can bring it to the computer and rip it, hopefully finding a program to convert DVD files to MPG. Might take awhile, unless someone else can upload it.

oh my God, Everybody! WORSHIP ME!!!!! HaHa I got it. It is now on YouTube. I had it on my cable box's DVR, so I transfered it to a tape. Then ran it upstairs to play it in my VCR which is connected to a DVD recorder. Recorded the DVD, put it in my computer. Used my programs to convert it to Mp4, and uploaded to You Tube. Watch it NOW!
