I can't believe they filled in the lagoon with cement... I wonder if Ariel's Grotto is still there? It wouldn't make much sense without the lagoon, which they should have just kept as a pretty lagoon, maybe just added some statues or something to it... Heck, they SHOULD have just left a Nemo submarine out there for atmosphere. I'm so annoyed with the way they are disappearing "classic" Disney from the park unless it is a hugely famous animated classic...

They should open a Retro-Disney Theme Park... Disney Nostalgialand

The Carousel attraction couldn't be around forever anyway since that last stage is already getting eclipsed by new technology.
I agree, but I will be sad to see it go. It was a nice show to watch as sort of a "break" in between long lines and the summer heat! Im sure theyll put something great in its place when they do decide to close it for good, but I hope the area doesnt go unused for long.

That's the main problem I have with it. Besides that I'll miss it incredibly, they don't have a very good record of replacing classics with "something great" lately. Also, they can't seem to come up with anything that isn't inspired by an animated film. I'm a huge animation fanatic and love attractions inspired by animated films, but Tomorrowland used to be really original and clever, without relying on films. A few I can see, okay, but now they're not even going for sci-fi themed films. I mean, Monsters Inc?

They'll do that.

A couple years ago, I went to a flea market and found a practically new copy of one of the old EPCOT Center souvenir VHS videos and had to get it (even though I hate to buy VHS now). What a trip that was to watch, since it was from the 80s! I wish they would sell a collection of those souvenir vacation videos in a DVD set for those of us who want to remember.

Thats a really good idea, they should do that! That would be really fun to watch. Better yet how cool would it be if they had a Disney Museum somewhere that covered the history of the parks?! OK the last thought was a bit unrealistic...but I still think it would be amazing. lol
