Quite judgemental of you. Why don't you go vote Republican and kill another couple thousand innocent Americans? Jackass.
1) The "Jackass" part was extremely rude and unnecesary.
2) Did I ever mention the War in Iraq anywhere in this thread? I actually don't support the war in IRAQ FYI, your "assumptions" were totally wrong.

Woah! Now I understand Alan's comment was quite bizzare(and a bit meaningless) however I think insulting someone's politics(which you don't know) and calling him a "jackass" was uncalled for.

Wow. Lazario has been overturned in his position as the King of Controvery.

Back to the topic at hand....
if you're diligent about it you can find some htf OOP titles at Gamestop through their website
www.gamestop.com Use the search part where it says "find this title near you" and put in your zipcode.
I found a BEAUTIFUL copy of B&tB for $13.99, a pretty good copy of Snow White for $16.99 and a PERFECT copy of the Fantasia Anthology for $34.99 all within about three weeks of eachother.
If you're hard set to find these titles without paying an arm and a leg, it can be done.
Also you mentioned that you can get them for an ok price when they only come in a sleeve and not a case- that just screams BOOTLEG so you wouldn't be getting a real copy anyway.
And I agree that you've got some time- from 1-2 or 3 years old he won't be ready for the classics, probably better to start him on the "baby-er" titles.
Goodluck!!

Well, I wanna start a collection as soon as possible for him, because when I was only a few months, I could sit and watch Disney movies constantly without losing my attention and it's turned me into a movie guy, where they're practically my life now.
So...I wanna try to get my brother as hooked on films as soon as possible.
Now, I LOVE Bonus Features and so ENG & Tarzan are kinda pissin' me off, but as long as they have a decent version of the film.
I'll definitely go on all of your tips, you guys! Thanks!
To think, I'll be 30 when he's 15.
Phew, that's weird.

Actually I can't believe I didn't think of this before- look into joining the Disney Movie Club (there's a forum for it on this site). That's how I made a huge dent in starting my collection.
You can get the Emperor's New Groove CE on there for only $21.95. And when you first sign up you get a few for either $2 or for free depending on the deal they have going on now and you need to fulfill your commitment of 5 within 2 years so you've got time.

Aw geez, now I feel old too. My cousin turned a year old last Thursday, and I'm 20...
Anyways, happy DVD hunting!
