i really think the whole way disney handles dvds and their releases and release order is a disaster. same for the inconsistent packaging design and super LAME artwork. if it's good enough for the movie poster it's good enough for the cover!

i really hope they get their act together for blu-ray. i have a whole list of things they should do to "do it right", not like it matters though. they're not going to change.

Three Caballeros- Deserves it next year because Disney missed THE PERFECT opportunity this year b/c of TC's 60th anniversary (sorry, mundane trivia)

Saludos- Deserves a better DVD release--I traded it in mainly because ppl were complaining how sh*tty the GC releases of TC and Saludos were.

OK, so I need to explain this--yesterday I sent something to Leonard about an uncut version of the South American films. Here is LM's response:
Hi... I'm afraid the folks at Disney don't ask for my opinion about these things. I'm very grateful that I get to do the Treasures series, but aside from that, I have no input, nor do I understand some of their decisions. I'd love to do uncut versions of the South American films of the 40s but I don't think it's in the cards. cheers, Leonard Maltin

I'm really hoping for a Platinum release of Pinocchio.

And when it happens, they better have a crapload of extra features...GOOD extra features...with it.

It was already announced in May 2003 that Pinocchio, Fantasia, Peter Pan, and Sleeping Beauty would be added to the platinum line.
