True, but we all know by now which select films Disney is giving the BD treatment to and which are most likely to see one in the near future. We also know which films are not likely to get one in the near future. To go on rants about films that we knew weren't going to get one anyway right now is a waste of everyone's time. Like with last year's releases of Oliver and Company and Pete's Dragon, their threads were full of the "no BD" rants but did any of us actually think Disney was going to randomly give those two a BD release? Is it really that much to ask.I think that's because it's pretty much a toss-up. I doubt anyone will really care about the sing-along and the animated shorts that were dropped, but the art gallery's a considerable loss. The audio track seems to be exactly the same, but the new release has better picture quality (though apparently not improved to the point where you just "gotta have it"). I'd say the new one for superior film presentation and cover art. It all comes down to which matters more to you: improved presentation or a 47-image art gallery. I'm going for the new release for the best transfer, but I'm still incredibly annoyed the art gallery was dropped.

Yeah, I am picking this one up as well. I want the new transfer to. So, since I only paid under $15 for the current DVD, and soon $10 for the new one, then I would have paid only $25 for the movie on two DVD editions (which sounds about normal up here for a single DVD). Too bad there's no Blu-ray (sorry, had to bring it up, but a DVD is fine for me).
