Disney really shot themselves in the foot with this mess-up. They shoulda just kept it a 2-disc edition...

I just wish Disney had SAID something about it at least. I'm over it. I'll be buying them.

I just wish next time they won't change it last minute and not even say anything about it.

I can imagine it now:
October 2005:
"Disney is proud to release, out of the vault, the all new two-disc Platinum edition of Lady and the Tramp!"
November 2005:
"Disney is proud to release, out of the vault, the all new two-disc Platinum edition of Lady and the Tramp!"
December 2005:
"Disney is proud to release, out of the vault, the all new Special Edition of Lady and the Tramp!"
January 2005:
"Disney is proud to release, out of the vault, the all new Special Edition of Lady and the Tramp!"
February 1-27, 2005:
"Disney is proud to release, out of the vault, the all new Special Edition of Lady and the Tramp!"
February 28, 2005:
"Disney is proud to release, out of the vault, the Limited Issue Edition of Lady and the Tramp!"

I lucked out with the Tarzan thing. Got a sealed collector's edition off of ebay for 30$ from a seller looking to get rid of it for the new 2 disc, since before it had most of the special features. Used Buy-It-Now, so didn't have to worry about the rest of the general populace.
Funny part was, after Tarzan came out, he started e-mailing me trying to get me to sell it back to him. You win some, you lose some

Questions like these illustrate why there's plenty of reason that this site contains in-depth DVD reviews:
