I don't think so. If you recall at the D23 expo the director told them that Elsa created Olaf with her powers and he was the first creature she ever created. He compared Olaf to the first pancake one tries to make and turns out bad.

Ah thanks. I don't have all of the bits and pieces from the last year memorized.
So yeah it would be kinda sad if he melted...

I thought the teaser trailer was GOOD!
It was very inventive, creative, cute, and funny. They clearly put a lot of work into that, you know!
It's just a teaser trailer, everyone, its not supposed to show us much. But it did hint at the magical storyline (the flower blooming in the snow!).
But I must agree, that snowman design is bad. But all the other designs look great to me! I love the two guys, they're both big!

It's not allegedly, it's a fact. It even says so in the
synopsis at the official Frozen website.

I'm assuming you're referring to this picture showing Olaf at a beach? That could be from a dream sequence and not necessarily from the ending.

Whoa, how did I miss that? Thank you for correcting me.

The teaser was ok, nothing special. Was cute and appealing to the audience it was intended for.
One wonders if, at some point, we will get a 'grown-up Disney' teaser, much like the Japanese version of the Tangled trailer. That was beautiful.
I think everyone is only dissapointing themselves at this point; Disney will do what Disney will do. Just have patience; remember, if we judged Tangled on the 'trouble' teaser would any of us have gone to see it ?!

I'm still going to reserve judgement for Olaf until I watch this movie, and I think it's wise that I do not let this teaser be the deciding factor for me. I'm not going to make the same mistake as I did with Ray. I remembered just by watching the teaser for The Princess and the Frog how I thought Ray was easily going to be the worst character of the movie. Boy, how foolish I was by the time I actually saw the movie. Plus, in my humble opinion, I believe that Disney has gotten better with comic-relief sidekicks. So, I'm still going to reserve judgement for Olaf until I watch the movie.
As for the teaser... well, all I can say is that it's a teaser. But, again, I'm not going to let this teaser be the deciding factor for me, because I truly believe that Disney still has surprises when it comes to this film. I still remember on the verge of giving up after watching the teaser for Tangled (though, I'm still face-palming every time I see "She's been grounded for, like, ever"). But, again, I felt extremely foolish after I watched the movie.
So, based off on the teaser, I really can't make comments about the movie, nor its characters, at this time. But, am I still going to see this movie? Oh, heck yes!

Hans, and now... a DUKE ? The original tale was full of interesting characters, so i hate when Disney can't stop creating new ones ! Improving a tale does not mean making it more and more complex and more and more different from the source !
And I WANTED SO BADLY THE HANDSOME HANS TO BE THE REAL VILLAIN IN DISGUISE !!! It would have been so original, the first handsome villain no one can guess…
Instead of that, i'm afraid we will have that gaston-type ratcliffe-type Duke of Weselton you can tell he's the villain from the very first look !! And with the same voice than the bad guy in disguise in Wreck it Ralph villain, what a shame !
PS : As for Olaf, i wish he melts when all is back to normal in the glorious spring happy ending, and then Elsa re-builds him with permanent snow so he can live for ever with his friends in the sun as he wished… ( the picture where he's on the beach might be part of his solo song indeed)

With major support company-wide and a strong theatrical marketing campaign tied to the film, DCP has developed a broad merchandise program focusing on two princesses and two castles to create an exquisite, beautiful product assortment for this unique and relatable musical event film. Additional licensing opportunities exist across categories for 2014.

Really, some of the negativity here is making me mad!
Guys, really: Remember TANGLED? And how the trailers were AWFUL and SO cling-worthy, but the movie is already a classic? Yeah, Frozen will be just like that. Seriously, the cast is PERFECT: Idina Menzel, Santino Fontana, Josh Gad, and Jonathan Groff in a ANIMATED DISNEY movie! With songs by the writer of AVENUE Q & BOOK OF MORMON! How can that go wrong?
Sadly, Disney is repeating Tangled and make the marketing hip and cool as possible. But, honestly, this teaser wasn't that bad. Could have been Kristoff acting like Flynn Rider! Be patient, the best is coming!
And besides, the Duke sounds like a small part and I would doubt that Disney is going to make Alan the bad guy...again. I REALLY think that it's
Hans. And really, that would be amazing!
P.S.-Do you think Disney wrote Santino and Alan some songs? I'm very worried that they will ignore Santino's incredible singing voice. Listen to him in Cinderella-HE'S A FREAKING DISNEY PRINCE. And Alan Tudyk was going to sing in Wreck-It Ralph until his song was deleted. His part in Frozen might be tiny, but seriously, having him sing, even a solo, will make it up to us WIR fans.
I'm just so worried.

Ah, I see what you did there.
Also, don't fret too much on the negativity. People are going to say what they're going to say, and they have a right to express their feelings. Though, I will agree that I believe the best is still yet to come.
As for me, I'm still reserving judgements until I see the movie.

A113Animation @A113Animation 15h
@alittlejelee Any clues as to when the full theatrical trailer might arrive?
Jennifer Lee @alittlejelee 14h
@A113Animation Next couple of months. Scope, scale, epic-ness to come. This was just a bit of fun. Animators had a blast.
Apparently, the full trailer will be about two months away:
Santino Fontana @SantinoFontana 11h
MY YEAR OF PRINCE“@DisneyPictures: Just Announced: @joshgad, @SantinoFontana, and @alan_tudyk have joined the voice cast of #DisneyFrozen!”
I might be reaching a little but if he is referring to himself as a prince, I don't think Hans will end up being the villain after all. Now just hoping that Tudyk's character isn't the villain either.
And based on other Tweets, I've managed to find out that there will be a song for Olaf and one between Anna and Kristoff.
That about wraps it up for my desperate attempts to glean information from random tweets.
