I think it was already included on something, possibly The Incredibles and/or the Cars re-release that came out a few weeks ago? However, I do not think they had a date with the trailer, and the booklet that came with Bambi or Tangled (or both) stated September 2011. Maybe they figure this isn't as much of a "big ticket" release and are just going to put it out there to sit on the shelves for an eternity (Hercules, anyone?).BK wrote:Oh, so how will they advertise this trailer since I don't think they have anything scheduled to release before June 7th. It's trailer hasn't been with any release so far if I'm right.
Be prepared to wait. It appears that Disney doesn't have the confidence in The Fox and the Hound to trust the casual fans to pick it up without the extra movie included.DancingCrab wrote:Grrr. Unless this has a $10 coupon and I can get it for like $11 somewhere, this will be the first DAC I will be skipping on blu-ray till it gets a single film release one day.
The page seems to come and go throughout the day. When I first read this thread, the page was accessible, then I got the Error 404 page, then got the page again.MJW wrote:Has the page been taken down? I don't think the MSRP is known yet, but I hope we get this "2 Movie Collection" for LESS than what Fantasia was available for on release week, as I don't think The Fox and the Hound and Fantasia are on the same level. Also, Fantasia 2000 was a legitimate, canon, theatrical sequel, while TFatH2 was direct-to-video. All that and the fact the both TFatH films are pretty short.seanjonmc wrote:Does anyone know the MSRP for this set? When I bought Fantasia/2000 on release week at Best Buy, it was on sale for $29.99 and then I had the $10 DMR coupon. I'm hoping for at least that same offer, ideally maybe $5 cheaper.
It should be cheaper if only because the Fantasia collection had two Blu-ray discs, and this has one. If for nothing else, I'd expect they'd want to keep the price lower because of that.MJW wrote:I don't think the MSRP is known yet, but I hope we get this "2 Movie Collection" for LESS than what Fantasia was available for on release week, as I don't think The Fox and the Hound and Fantasia are on the same level. It'd be nice to get this release really cheap, like the Alice in Wonderland $9.99 at Best Buy deal after DMR coupon, but we'll see.
