My ego is fine, because I know there are more important things in life than whether or not Beauty and the Beast is presented one way or another on home video. And honestly, the whole argument about "original version" versus "filmmakers' intentions" was done in other threads, you already know mine and other peoples' opinions. You're the one that keeps harping on hoping that enough new people who don't know your UD history will actually listen. You really are "that guy", just as goofystitch said you would be.
I personally don't see a point in participating *seriously* in a thread that from the very first post is biased and one-sided, which is exactly what this thread and all of your posts are. You refuse to see or try to understand anyone else's opinion on the matter because you're so blinded by what you believe is right. I bet if Kirk Wise and Gary Trousdale started a UD account just to post their thoughts and tell you that you in fact, are wrong about certain things, you still wouldn't believe them.

.... And I believe that that is the last serious word in this thread.

Now, who wants to help with the junk food wall mural? :D

 That image is hilarious!!!

And a lot closer to the actual new version than some people may think.
But I'm glad some people find a purple dress fantastic, if that's what the filmmakers suddenly want.

Everyone happy.

Enjoy the purple dress.

I'm going to watch my laserdisc.

Good night.

Good night, Marky....

Now that the troll is asleep, we can work in peace! Would twizzlers be good for Belle's winter coat or are they too much of a "red?"

...yeah, I'm sure the Twizzlers I had in '92 were less red. I dunno what these Hershey Highwaymen are trying to push, but I'll have none of it. Oh, no, you all are just content to eat candy without appreciating the way it was supposed to look. You can't handle hearing anything about a candy bar that you don't like to hear.

I figure some rich milk chocolate would do wonders for Cogsworth.

rotfl

We'll need something white chocolate for Mrs. Potts and Chip.... Or maybe coconut-y. :D
I think green Dots would make lovely trees, as well, but that's just me. :) I wouldn't want the mural to be tarnished by any candy that we aren't all in agreement with....

Ahhhhh. That kind of clap!

Anyway, with this wall mural, I propose that we make one with the original candy colours and one with the new Special Edition candy colours. That way Brends can get his original Twizzlers red. As for the rich milk chocolate for Cogsworth, does anyone remember how rich was rich in 1992? I don't remember as well as ajmrowland does, and we can't consult the original mural anymore since it was...eaten.

I don't really remember that well, either. :lol

But it's some shade of rich chocolate.

The upcoming DVD's edition banner will probably say 'The Castle Staff Steal Many Scenes Edition' since apparently only the Blu-Ray version can be called a Diamond (in the Rough) Edition.

For junk food mural:
Beast's cape = purple Skittles
Beast's pants = blue M&Ms
The fur lining on Belle's hood and Beast's fangs = white Good 'N Plentys
Belle's skin = yogurt coated raisins
Lumiere's gold body = Lemon Heads

Well, according to the YouTube videos from before the restoration.... we're looking at an intense dark chocolate more than rich milk.... Ghirardeli, anyone?
