For Olaf maybe, but why blur out Kristoff when he is in the one and only official concept art that came out in December? Anna's CG model hasn't changed much from that artwork, so why would Kristoff's? How much of a redesign could they possibly do in less than 6 months, anyway?

Sorry, I'll stop asking questions.

Well, in other news, Disney Wiki has gone bizarre with the Frozen plot again.

EDIT: Proves how tired I am; that description is months old. Still weird, though.

If I were a Disney animator I'd shut my mouth about this film. They might just make you disappear.

Things are really turning ridiculous now.
Really, i think it's all a bit sad and pathetic what's happening, how Disney turns paranoid with all those moves...
It ALL goes paranoid.
WHY ? Why being so insanely and desperately secretive ?
Not good for their public image. People are laughin'. And turn even more and more demanding.
Worst of all, the Olaf/Sven teaser is not going to calm anyone down.
On facebook, many naive people really expect a full trailer ( hey, Disney facebook page call it "trailer" after all ! ) with all the characters, music and all...
Some are going to cry, shout, to be really disappointed.
The others might not even care ( not sure Olaf can become the new Scrat ).

I am afraid ( even if i'm supporting Disney efforts, and even if i'm sure that movie is great).

Wait a minute -- this has probably already been discussed at length, but other countries get to call it The Snow Queen and we're still stuck with a lame spin-off title à la Tangled? Super annoying, Disney.

Plus, the character design looks eerily similar to Tangled. I know back in the day we could have said the same thing about Disney's traditional animated movies. But I'm a blasé adult now. Make people look different. (But don't make them look TOO different, of course, because I'll complain about that too. )

Never thought i would say that one day, but i've come to the conclusion that the FROZEN title doesn't bother me. A different title is a good choice, since that Disney story is so, so different... almost a prequel, a spin off.

I myself have doubts about the future reactions of french public here… Yes, we have "La Reine des Neiges" ( The Snow Queen) , but it's gonna be : " Hey ! What's this ? Nothing nothing nothing to do with the real Andersen Snow Queen Story !!! Where are Kay and Gerda, the mirror, and so on ? "
Better for all to forget all the details and the favorite parts, characters and symbols of that dear tale of our childhood, since almost nothing remains in Disney adaptation, just the quest, the ice lady in her palace and the rein deer.
Definitely, that story is not Andersen 's Snow Queen, so, a different title is good.

Is "The Snow Queen" fairy tale popular in France? Have their been any famous or beloved adaptations of the story in France?

Because here in the US, I would venture to say that even if the movie had retained the title "The Snow Queen" it wouldn't haven't mattered because the American public is unfamiliar with the specifics of the story. In fact, I think you could say that in the US fairy tales are Disney movies and The Wizard of Oz.

^I was about to say that. The public in general does not know fairy tales beyond “Rapunzel is a girl with long hair trapped in a tower,” and probably even less about the Anderson stories like TLM and TSQ. SW and Cinderella are probably the only fairy tales average people know most of the details of.

It is sad that Disney has actually started naming their films this way, and not even consistently across countries. These titles are so ridiculous, it almost seems unreal sometimes.
I would love for Anna to get some corrective eye surgery and not look like the love child of Rapunzel and Dopey. And Elsa's mullet is just wrong on so many levels.
 So true, on both parts.

@Disney going crazy, it is really stupid. They're acting like an unhinged pigeon lady pretending that, no, they don't have a film coming out in Fall 2013 named Frozen, what are you talking about and why do you keep bringing it up?!?!#!! %_%

Charles Solomon? Huh. Be interesting to see his writing about it. I liked his critiques and knowledge of the history of the medium in his Enchanted Drawings book.

"Frozen": First trailer for Disney movie available June 18 on weather.com

http://newsok.com/frozen-first-trailer- ... le/3853322

By the way, I've come back home from Annecy yesterday. I've met Brittney Lee, I can say she's one of the nicest persons I've ever met!! Lovely lady!! I had the chance to talk a little bit with her a couple of times. I attended to her talk about her work, but sadly she wasn't allowed to show anything about Frozen. In fact, anyone talked about it, only mentioned it on their work experiences.

Oh, and those cubes with the images... I believe that was a private area, for press or something like that, I didn't see those!! =(

What the hell kind of promo is that?

It would be AMAZING if Disney did a viral campaign tracking a huge, unexplained winter storm. They tried to do some last minute viral stuff with Tangled (in pursuit of Flynn Rider) but it was really tacky and obviously rushed. They also did the super well done "Flynn Lives" campaign for Tron Legacy. I'm hesitant but excited.
