I've just noticed that Vol 2 is on 55 pages.
Does anyone see the irony in Disney stopping DTVs after all the complaints, and as they do, they finally release something everbody seems to want?

How Sad, I think this beats the original Little Mermaid PE thread...
I think its because The Little Mermaid has a giant fan base, so they wanted to end their DTV line with a bang and bring in the most money from consumers.
Oh I forgot I wasn't supposed to post in this thread again until I saw this movie...oh well.

It's not like we plan to make two volumes with 50 pages each. I know some fans hoped that it would end the DTV line off the bang, but mainly because after 14 years of sequels, some bad, some good, it's finally over. We're just people who like TLM/Ariel and we want to talk about it. We're not physcos who plan things out in dark rooms, swearing revenge.
Oh well. I'm not yelling at you, just so you know. Just giving you the TLM Fan point of view.

I'm pretty sure The Little Mermaid III was started before Lasseter "stopped" Disney's DTVs, and I'm also pretty sure that stopped other in-progress DTVs being completed. So I don't think Disney intended TLM3 to be the final DTV (ignoring Tinker Bell).
I just find it somewhat funny that everyone has been badmouthing the sequels (some of which admittedly deserved bad-mouthing) but as soon as the sequels go up in quality and actually start exciting some of the same people, they're canned.

lol, I didn't intentionally mean to poke fun at you. Believe me I'm as much of a fan of TLM as the next person. I definitely do not think you all are psychos who plan things in dark rooms or swear for revenge. I was just saying that there are clearly a lot of fans of TLM so thats why theres so many pages of this thread. I just think its funny how the pages for this one surpass the original TLM thread(did it even surpass it? I think it did)
Ah but going back, your saying there were going to be more Disney DTV's before Mr. Lasseter joined the crew?
