You know, watching the sig gave me the idea for an animated sitcom: Gods Among Men. The characters would be average people, but would have the personalities of the Greek gods, and their stories would be modern day adaptations.
Hmmm...

Pap.... you may be on to something there.... I LOVE IT! Actually.... It could make a cute book/film too....
I thought I had already done that for the most part a while ago in my Olympus High stories/plays where I took modern interpretations of the gods. I guess a lot less people on here read them than I thought.
pap64 wrote:What do you think, Tim? Would you watch this show?
I definitely would. Could I be a writer or a creative consultant?

I am currently working on my new sig, so in the meantime I put one of my favorite Walt Disney quotes.

Actually, since you came up with the idea first it's your show!
My apologies, I didn't know that you had created something like that. I think yours would be better because Greek Mythology is your passion and thus you would understand the characters and stories better than I would.
Besides, I have several stories that I want to publish, they are my babies and my passion. So it would be a while before I got to that idea

No need to apologize. The idea of a modern take of the Greek gods have been done for a long time now so it's not like anything new.

I really do love your idea and think it's a very interesting spin that I never heard before. I think it would be great to do sometime in the future.
I hope everything goes well with the rest of your stories!

I was bored on my day off and wanted a project to do, so I made a new signature and avatar...they always take way longer than I expect them to.
My favorite Disney couples (with Taran & Eilonwy saved for the avatar):
I had previously made an avatar/siggy set with couples, this one is better...
*edit* I can be such a perfectionist sometimes... I had to work with the screencaps that I found, but I either wanted all the couples sort of smiling, or all sort of sultry (except for Taran and Eilonwy, of course). But it's half and half. Maybe I'll spend more time later on it, I don't know...
*edit*
I finally made it how I wanted:
*edit* Apparently I lied before. Now it is how I wanted, with the couples all looking at each other.

I would make an animated GIF version that said...
"At first we were
...But then we got

"

I don't want to insult, condemn or judge anybody on this forum (that's the last thing I want), but since I read so many positive posts about Wal-Mart, I felt like drawing attention to the 'dark side' of that store.
@ BelleGirl: So when will we see the SB banner in your sig?
@ blackcauldron85: I like your banner/sig as well! It works so well with your avatar. Nice work!

I've been in a promotional mood lately. My sig is now the links to my websites, just for fun. I've got forums, and video blogs, and exclusive content... It's still a work in progress, though.

I have that damn Jellyfish Jam from Spongebob stuck in my head right now, so I will word this as slowly and clearly as I can (do do da da do do do do.). One time, I went on a Creative Writing site, and one of the suggestions was "Write a poem beginning with the words "Beauty loves you till you die."" So, with that being said, I joined this Forum, hoping to share my thoughts and ideas with others about Disney. The idea was scrapped for a short while, so for my original signature I used "Hope is the Thing With Feathers" poem by Emily Dickinson. The idea would have been lost and forgotten had it not been for my wanting of changing my signature. When I was contemplating (I even had my Emily Dickinson ready at hand, too) for a new poem by Dickinson for my siggy. Then I thought back on the Beauty poem. After writing it and reading, it turned out better than I thought! My poem has sort of an Old English and Dickinson-like manner. This is it:
"Beauty loves thee till thee die,
and enter into his triumphant sky.
For in the hearts of Men,
love shalt endure and begin again!"
I hope you like it!
And Jellyfish Jam is still stuck in my head! Damn you, Nickelodeon

As great as WIST #50 is, we must move on to #51...
WIST #51: (actual)
Tristy: The [worst Disney songs are] songs in Mulan. I wouldn't say they were horrible, but the lyrics pretty much sound as if they were written by a five year-old.
pinkrenata: What are you talking about? "Be A Man" is a work of art! To be honest, I don't know how tongue-in-cheek that statement was. The song sort of rocks!
