I don't know if I should get this! I have both of the movies already. Is the soundtrack 5.1 any different from the Mono one? I read that Saludos Amigos track is better on the review. Also, we are only getting the interview with Walt that is only 1:45 minutes long? is it worth the upgrade or no? HELPPP lol.
Also is the coupon still messed up?

I'd say no. The original mono mixes, the original TTC GC bonus cartoons, and the trailers for both movies are lost. And the only thing gained are barely-remixed 5.1 audio tracks, two different bonus cartoons (which, IMO, are inferior to the ones that were dropped), and a less-than-two-minute interview.
Stick to your old discs. There isn't enough improvement in a/v quality to merit a double-dip for technical reasons, and if you're a bonus features lover, more is lost than gained, and much of what's gained isn't worth the double-dip either.

It's always nice to hear I rock (especially since most of the time, I just roll...

).
(At this point, I was originally gonna add the lyrics to "Roll With Me, Henry" before I realized just how risque and innuendo-ous they were...)

How does one get the coupon from Disney? Do you have to be a member of their movie club? Or something else?

I think you just have to be a member of Disney Movie Rewards.

So was I the only one who went out to purchase this today only to find that none of my local stores had it in stock? I checked out three
Wal-Marts, two Targets, a Hastings, and 2 local video stores and nobody was carrying this title. I'm guessing this wasn't popular enough for companies to decide to order?

Your not the only one. I went first to Future Shop, they didn't have it. I then went to HMV, they didn't have it. I finally went to Wal-Mart where I found it. The Real Canadian Superstore also had it.
I also picked up Young Indiana Jones Volume 3 and same story. The only store that had it was HMV.
Don't know why these two were hard to find today, on the other hand there were plenty of Golden Compass around.

I've been having the same problem as well. Today I went to my local Wal Mart, CVS, Movie Gallery, and Best Buy and there wasn't a copy to be found. I'll probably make a trek out to Target or Circuit City tomorrow to see if any of them have it.

I ordered it off Wal-Mart.com and it says it is only in limited stores. Does anyone know what is up w/that? It seems odd to me that a new Disney release, albeit one to make a quick buck off of a ethnic-only holiday, would be released like this. Of course I might have just answered my own question there.

When I went to my local Best Buy I didn't see any on the selves, but then then I asked an associate to help me find it, he found some for me. They hasn't gotten them out on the shelves yet, but it only looked like they had about 3 or 4 copies of it anyway.

My god, doesn't anyone read the front page or the reviews anymore?
I'm not trying to be rude, Albert, but I think that Diego was asking what the inserts were advertising, which your answer didn't answer. I just wanted to say that and defend Diego. But I still like you- I'm not mad or anything!

I got my copy at Wal-Mart but they were tucked away in the corner and not with the new releases (The Aristocats still was)! They only had about 5 of them. I don't own either one so was glad to pick this up and get 2 films closer to having all the animated classics
They only advertise on paper on an insert The Sword in the Stone 45th Anniversary, and it's the same ad in the 101 Dalmatations Platinum, but just a full page

I'm sorry if it came off as rude. I didn't mean to make it sound snarky or mean. Luke & Company put a lot of work into the reviews and aside from the few-and-far-between comments in the Review Feedback thread, hardly anyone says anything about them. And for most forum members (at least in the past year or so), if they do have a question that could be answered by looking at the review first, they more than likely will ask the question instead (and have someone re-direct them to the review).
Diego's question was a meritable one, but as far as I knew based simply on his question ("Are there any good inserts inside?"), he didn't read the review (which is why I quoted it). If he had said, "I read the review and it said that along with the standard scene selection and DMR code, there are print ads...does anyone know what they were advertising?", then I probably wouldn't have (unintentionally) bitten his head off.

I found My Classic Cabalerros Collection at Wal-mart... And I had money for both that and the 2-disc Golden Compass but then I saw something else...
GUMBY THE MOVIE ON DVD!!!! When did this come out... did anyone know about when this was released-- Although I watched it they took some of the movie from vhs of Gumby The Movie out of the film and put them in deleted scenes such as when Goo Pokey and Prickle become collide into each other at a slide but they didn't show them going to the hospital..(which for some odd reason is now in deleted scenes)....(sorry for getting off topic but I just couldn't believe Gumby the Movie was finally released on DVD)

I am not buying it though anyway, so it don't matter to me lol.
