The Walt Disney Company recently returned to the sea for a third animated feature film in the world of The Little Mermaid. A prequel to the studio's beloved 1989 hit, The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Beginning centers on the ocean lives of mermaid princess Ariel, her six older sisters, their widowed father King Triton, and conniving governess Marina Del Ray.

The DVD-premiered movie, which features songs from Broadway veteran Jeanine Tesori and some of DisneyToon Studios' best animation to date, has been topping sales charts left and right.

Shortly before the August 26th release, Disney held a special premiere on Santa Catalina Island in California. Representing UltimateDisney.com, Christopher Disher and new on-camera reporter Caitlin Custer attended the event. They snagged some blue carpet interviews with several members of the voice cast -- Jodi Benson (Ariel), Samuel E. Wright (Sebastian), Parker Goris (Flounder), Kari Wahlgren (Attina), Tara Strong (Adella, Andrina, and, in The Little Mermaid II, Melody) -- and other celebrity guests -- including Jennifer Stone of "Wizards of Waverly Place", Melora Hardin of "The Office" and Broadway's Jeannette Bayardelle (The Color Purple). In addition to all that, they captured the exciting atmosphere of children, music, and Disney magic.
