Well, we know it's a DVD. Maybe it will have a deeper look at the making of the movie? All the history around it and the importance of the movie? That's what I'm hoping for.

Perhaps a dvd that accompanies the Gift Set instead of a lame little book.

oh that gives me something to hope for! i was expecting some lame "princess collection" dvd...and dont get me started with the princess collection

When I first read it, I figured it'd be some sort of documentary, but that makes me worried. If Disney's releasing "making of" material as a separate DVD, does this mean they're willingly withholding from the Platinum DVD? I don't want to have to buy two separate releases in order to know about The Little Mermaid's production. I know people are looking forward to this, but I'm really hoping this is some sort of kiddie thing, and that all of worthwhile content will be found in the actual Platinum release.

Maybe The Little Mermaid Reflections is a sequel or the animated series episodes.

I pray that it is something of them. But I don't believe so. And yes, if it's going to be a documentary, that would be bad. A documentary seperated from the special edition dvd?? A clever way for Disney to earn more money. This is just ridiculous. I can't find anthing about this. Where did you see it? I checked the movies section, but nothing is there.

With the words merchandise, I most likely think it will be some sort of DVD fluff piece or perhaps a DVD of a game like the one for Lilo and Stitch.
