A great day for my DVD collection but not for my wallet.

I have been looking forward to getting tuesday's releases and was excited when I actually found most of them in stock at Costco's. My wife had to work late yesterday so I went on a shopping spree, and was able to get the following:

"Escape to Witch Mountain"
"Return to Witch Mountain"
"The Apple Dumpling Gang"
"Kim Possible: The Secret Files"
"Home Alone 4"
"The Simpson's: Treehouse of Terror"
Seasons 1 & 2 of "Saved By the Bell"

So with all of these and the Simpson's season three I got last week it should keep me going till the new treasure sets come out.

Are you sure thats not a world record for most discs bought in a single day?

Hey as long as you enjoy them, they are worth the money.

I just got Saved By The Bell. I'm interested in the Disney Special Editions, but cash is low - maybe I'll be able to rent them from the library or one of the online places.

My Simpsons S3 finally arrived yesterday. How is the Treehouse of Horror disc?

Luke, do NOT buy that Treehouse of Horror disc. If it sells well, then FOX will start making more of those stupid one-disc best-of's instead of focusing on releasing the Season Sets faster...

Well, I didn't really plan on it, but I don't necessarily agree with your logic. I mean The Simpsons is the top-selling TV show on DVD, and yet, they just drag their feet. I don't think they're going to speed it up or slow it down based on how the best-of's sell. IN any event, I'm sure the Best-Ofs won't compare with the type of colossal sales numbers the sets are putting up.

The most I could manage was the Vault Disney box set...
I'd love to get the other ones, but that was all I could afford at the moment (until my tax rebate comes in :D), and I figure I should get the Vaults before I get the SEs.

Plus, I also just managed to pick up Silly Symphonies for $37, which I thought was a damn good deal...and completes my Treasures!

Thanks DF.
I actually found B & W first on eBay, around $30. It arrived the other day and I'm slowly going through it. Really fun set.
There was someone selling theirs on the forum here: http://www.ultimatedisney.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=970

MMILC seems to be available for preorder in the Netherlands:

Don't know whether it helps or they even ship internationally!

MMILC I spent a little bit more on, but it is well and truly worth it (IMO). Especially come December when I'll have those 11 tins all lined up and shiny.
Mmmm....shiny....

Oh, I don't know about that. He can leave if he wants to. We'll remember him though. We remember everyone who leaves.

Is it that hard to believe?

OK, maybe it is...I won't have any 'friends' left here though after I finish dissing Brother Bear...

I was actually watching 'Lilo and Stitch' last night with my better half, and got a little teary over it.

Such a sweet little film.

Ok I won't leave. But only because you all used Ohana on me. hate it when you do that... :P
