Another fantastic and in depth review, MMB. Thanks! This sounds like one incredible set with extras that are comparable to the good ol' Laserdisc Box Set days. Not too much kiddie or fluff extras, lots of cool stuff pertaining to the movie itself, how it was made and advertised. This will surely be a DVD which every Disney fans should own and will watch over and over for many years to come. Thanks again, MMB!

This really does look eons better than the Lion King's Cottonball-I mean Platinum Edition DVD. I can't wait to own this set, and I really truly hope Alice in Wonderland, Pocahontas, and Lilo and Stitch get DVD treatments as wonderful as Sleeping Beauty seems to have. :D

Um, MickeyMouseBoy is that a typo for fullscreen? (foolscreen) is it only for fools? lol Well I believe that if Sleeping Beauty was shown in theaters in Widescreen than thats the way it should be shown

Do yourself a favor and consider the word "Fullscreen" a typo, and "Foolscreen" the correct spelling for the following reasons:

A. Widescreen is the real fullscreen, since it shows the full picture of the movie
B. As you said, its only for fools - pathetic idiotic fools at that. :P

It doesn't matter that it's on the Foolscreen version only? I'd be pretty pissed if they did that for English. ;)

Thanks for the details, MMB!

Ok, that review's stupid in that they only gave the supplements 3 out of 5...There's pretty much nothing more you can add to that add except make the main featurette longer, but considering there are more featurettes exploring other aspects of production, it's not really necessary. Talk about being picky...

Yeah, Dvdfile's reviewers have really started to get me annoyed lately. They've been giving jam packed DVDs only 3.5 stars most of the time.

What bothers me is when they give a brand new DVD that looks flawless a 2 out of 5 on video when the comments are all positive. Like "Tarzan & Jane" had perfect video quality and they said so much...and they gave it a 2 out of 5. They also gave the Ultimate Toy Box like a 4 out of 5 in supplements, which is less than A Bug's Life CE got. If you're going to give scores, at least stick to one scale and make it so that you're not expecting The Thin Man to look or sound as clear as Final Destination 2.

Reading the reviews from Mouse Planet and DVD File, it seems that some of the features are different from the R2 version. According to DVD File, the "1951 Outline" is narrated on the American version... on the UK version, there are only still frames.
Mouse Planet states that the "Widescreen-to-Fullscreen Comparison" is four-minutes long and is introduced by Andreas Deja. The international release has no introduction, but the featurette is six minutes long. It features the opening sequence, the "Once Upon a Dream" sequence, and a scene with Maleficent in her castle.
According to Mouse Planet, "Several of the pieces feature a brief audio description or trivia, but there are no in-depth discussions.". Well, there's now audio commentary for the individual pieces on the R2 version, but there are screens of texts in the begining of each gallery.
And looking at the pictures from Ultimate Disney, it seems there is a "storyboard-to-final film comparison". The R2 release features just the storyreels.
