9/2 releases-anyone finding them???

Anyone find any of today 's releases? I found Kim Possible in Target-my local Best Buy didn't have ANY copies of any of the new releases. I finally found the Witch Mountain's at a local Borders. Is Disney going to make us hunt for these live action titles everytime they release them? !

I had to hunt down Tower of Terror to finally get it. I know I can always order these HTF titles, but I like to go into a brick and mortar store and buy them.
BTW, I read on another board that BVHE is planning to release about 10 titles a MONTH next year, starting with The Three Lives of Thomasina. Anyone else heard this?

It took me four tries before I found a store with all three releases. The great irony is I'm too broke to buy them! So I may end up getting them off the web for Christmas anyway.
Y'know, I'm not sure if the release is BVHV's fault. I wonder if stores just blew them off in orders, not realizing the demand. Just a thought.
Anyway, they are out there, but VERY hard to find, especially the Witch Mountain movies.

Try Costco if you have one nearby.
I've seen posted on another forum that they had them ALL.

I was finally able to round them up in three different stores. It's just so frustrating! The manager of my local Disney Store told me recently that they will no longer be getting any "minor" release titles and to only expect big releases like Sleeping Beauty, Lion King, Nemo and the like. In other words, if they don't pre-sell it with lithographs, they probably won't be getting the release at all. How sad that the DISNEY store itself doesn't even sell it's own product. And they wonder why the stores are failing?!!
Anyway, on a happier note, they all had inserts!!

every Disney special edition I've gotten has shown up a week after the release date. of course every time like an idiot i assume it's gonna be there on time. also, i never have seen any promotional materials, or commercials for any of the releases, including the original vault Disney collection and every special edition since. i can't for the life of me figure out why they would go to the trouble of putting together a special edition if they don't want to promote it so a lot of people will buy it. i'm just gonna order mine online from now on.

I found the "Witch Mountain" films at my local Best Buy, but they didn't get "Apple Dumpling Gang" or the black and white "Absent Minded Professor". I'm going to try Suncoast tomorrow.

Costco had both Witch Mountains, Apple Dumpling Gang, Absent Minded Professer, Kim Possible all for 13.89
Walmart had Kim P., both witch mountains, apple dumpling for 14.44
But I found no Brave Toaster
Walmart had the stickers for Toaster movies with the price of 14.44 but no DVDs were on the shelf so i will check back soon.

My Costco had them all as well other than the Brave little Toaster.

i'm interested in this news of 10 new dvd releases a month next year. can anyone substantiate or confirm a catalog release of three lives of thomasina? this would be awesome news and totally believable. disney wants to expunge their vault materials before they start out again with high definition dvd.
i just hope they get better treatment than their other catalog releases have, but my guess is nothing but barebones for 10 new disney dvds a month next year.

Welcome, donaldduckfan.
With an avatar like that, you are in very good company.
I think it might be time to break out the BTTF quotes again...our density has brought us to you...
Are you guys who buy from the shops opposed to online shopping, or is it for other reasons (payment methods etc?). I'm just curious, because you always seem to have trouble finding stuff on release day - wouldn't it be easier to just order online?
Anyways, I'm never able to get them on release day, so I can't really talk...

I almost always buy online, save for the really big releases that I must must must have on release date. (I foresee this happening for Nemo and TLK.)
I imagine people buy at stores because payment methods and maybe the "must-have on release date" mentality that goes hand in hand with buying DVDs. Prices are basically comparable for most releases, and the titles like this week's (with the exception of Kim Possible) would be much easier to buy online, I think. But it sometimes means waiting.
Speaking of which, I assume you're still waiting on the Vault Disney 4-pack to ship? (For which Amazon, has finally corrected the title.)

Yeah, I actually wound up ordering through Amazon.ca - which had it listed correctly for the most part (had all the titles listed, but still says 4 discs) - mainly because the exchange rate was more favourable for me (worked out at less than $19 Australian per disc, and if you do the math that is really cheap in $US). They have it listed as 'Ships in 2-3 days' at the moment. I'm in no hurry...
