Knick Knack only PIXAR censorship?

I've known about the "breast reduction operations" in Knick Knack since it was released on the Finding Nemo DVD, but never got around to checking the censored short with earlier copies I had until recently.

Does anyone know of any other censorship of a PIXAR short or feature film?

In the short Knick Knack, the Miami girl figurine had extremely large boobs, which caused the snowman inside the globe to desperately want to go after her. When the short was attached to Finding Nemo, the girl's boobs were removed because the folks at Pixar felt it was inappropriate now that they had wives and kids. As for as I know, no other Pixar short has been edited.

Frankly, I'm glad they censored it. Finding Nemois supposed to be family enjoyment, not a subtle ad for lust or even physical attractiveness outside of "her eyes are really pretty."

That's funny! Too bad it got edited! Oh well! The short is still really good! I actually thought the short was better than Finding Nemo!

Though nothing got censored, I heard that parents were complaining that Toy Story had "sexual messages" or something like that. Really stupid huh! Well at least nothing got edited!

It's not because Pixar thinks that women should be ashamed of their bodies, but the whole idea of a man going after the woman because of her breast size.

Maybe they could put the uncensored version on a future Disney Treasure set with a Leonard Maltin intro on why Big Breast and Lust are no longer acceptable today.

Because five-year-olds are watching the movie and the short. Though I really don't those little brains would really get the subtle lust concept.

They probably got that from the way Woody and Bo Peep were in the first one  . Other than that, I can't think of another reason for that. :?

What I would want to see released is a Pixar DVD featuring all of their animated shorts. They could put the unedited version on there if the DVD's target market was animation faatics over children.

In addition to Disneykid's answer about the Miami girl, not only was the breast size reduced - but the girl had almost no breasts at all after the censorship!!! Also the mermaid breasts originally had starfish "pasties" and the breasts were also reduced and fully covered in the censored version.

Yes, I understand about the censorship of Knick Knack because it was being included on Finding Nemo, a film that appealed to many young children. But I would have preferred that Knick Knack have been saved for a more adult film's DVD and one of the other PIXAR shorts been included on the DVD - such as Red's Dream, which I believe hasn't seen DVD release yet.

it would be cool
but remember that there are many people who thinks that animation(o any kind)is synonim of "kid´s stuff".
I wonder how of this guys will take or will argue when Tim Burton´s death wife come to the movie theaters

You know, I was really annoyed when I first realized there was a censorship, but I took another look at the original and just shook my head. This time around, I don't care either way; let 'em present it how they want.

Besides, they were so freakin' HUGE!

Pixar released a collection of computer animated short films on video cassette back in 1996 called Tiny Toy Stories. The collection includes the original version of Knick Knack before Disney censored it.

So what did the characters look like before & after ?

Well,

Here are the 2 female characters as they originally appeared:

Now here are the same 2 female characters again after Disney's digital boob reduction:
