Playhouse Disney Holiday

JOJO’S CIRCUS
HIGGLYTOWN HEROES
SHANNA’S SHOW

Available November 1, 2005

BURBANK, Calif., June 2, 2005 - Celebrate the holidays with a collection of preschool favorites:
JOJO’S CIRCUS, HIGGLYTOWN HEROES, and SHANNA’S SHOW. These holiday-themed
episodes are on DVD for the first time ever. Available for $19.99 (DVD S.R.P.) and $19.99 (VHS
S.R.P.).

JOJO’S CIRCUS: Preschoolers are invited to Circus Town for engaging stories that encourage them to
get up and dance, jump, bend and wiggle with JoJo, a 6-year-old clown girl, while she and her friends
model character-building skills such as cooperation, sharing and respect for others.

HIGGLYTOWN HEROES: The animated, song-filled "Higglytown Heroes" is an imaginative series
that introduces preschoolers to the ordinary "heroes" in the world around them, the average people who
provide the framework for a community whether it's the mail carrier, the grocer, the librarian or the
veterinarian. Through the comical adventures of the Higglytown kids -- Kip, Wayne, Eubie and Twinkle
and their wise and worldly friend Fran the Squirrel -- preschoolers discover what various role models do
every day to make the world go round and round.

SHANNA’S SHOW: “Shanna's Show" is a short-form series that engages preschoolers in a musical
guessing game about various jobs in the world around them. Shanna is a 6-year-old African-American
girl who -- along with her helpers, 4-year-old brother Shane, Dinah the dinosaur, Ducky and Tiger -- puts
on a musical show in her room, giving viewers three clues to help them guess what she is dressed up and
pretending to be. The segments are designed to encourage preschoolers to use their thinking skills,
interact in the game and along the way, learn about concepts and acquire facts and knowledge about the
world.

Even though Playhouse Disney ain't really my cup of tea, I think that this one could turn out to be pretty good. And is Shanna's Show any good?

Earlier in the week, I posted my review of this here:

"Fifteen years from now, when people are talking about 3-D, they will talk about the business before 'Monsters vs. Aliens' and the business after 'Monsters vs. Aliens.' It's the line in the sand." - Greg Foster, IMAX chairman and president
