Ok so i was searching through play.com at some dvds i was interested in buying when i came across The Rescuers down under, straight away it looked different for some reason, so i went to amazon to see if the cover was the same there, or different.
Heres the two covers:

See what i mean? The text seems to have changed where it says the title of the film and also looking at the play.com image im wondering wether the new Disney Hologram has been added, unless its a small image of a character or something.
So it got me puzzled why has this cover suddenly changed? Im wondering if it is because Disney are adding the new holograms to the old classics that didnt get any that most likely wont get a better release in the future.
Also The Rescuers dvd is temporarily out of stock, so maybe thats also getting a couple of new changes?

Anyway I hope i've made sense.

The reason is simple.

The cover is the bottom one, and will remain that way unless there is a rerelease.

The top cover was merely a mock up of the art from back in 2002, as you can see on the spine there is a picture in a square, like the VHSs used to have. If you look about there are many other DVD covers you will find on the web that have differences from their final versions.

the reason being that Disney UK often puts images on it's press site that are mock ups. The retailers then put these on their site. Then when the cover is updated to the final version, either the retailer does not know it has been changed or they can not be bothered to change it for such tiny differences. Or Disney does not update their press site and leaves the old mock up image on there.

So don't worry there are not 2 different covers out there.
