Too right you are, SofaKing381222! We need them on DVD! I've voted and taking into consideration your thoughts on Disney trying to find out the ones that they can make money from throught putting them on to DVD, I voted several times for DCOMs that aren't yet on to the much anticipated format of DVD!

Also, why aren't some DCOMs included like Quints and 'Twas the Night? And can you post the list of the winning DCOMs, as I don't have the Disney Channel America?

Post your five choices and see how others felt.

I chose:

1. Zenon: Z3
2. Eddie's Million-Dollar Cookoff (I chose mainly because of the cameo by Bobby Flay of Iron Chef America, I must admit)
3. Gotta Kick It Up
4. Smart House
5. Johnny Tsunami

I know that, but I put them on anyways because they were Disney movies and I love them.

Heh,heh,heh................................:P
Well, I've actually only seen the first four and I wasn't really going to include Get A Clue, but I had to change my list as I found out that my orignal 5th position and th only other DCOM that I've seen, Kim Possible - A Sitch In Time wasn't an official DCOM. I had to put in an offical DCOM and as I've read the review of Get A Clue, seen the trailer and I'm planning to purchase it, I thought that I'd just slot it in there. :)
Didn't think that you'd notice!

I've never seen Jett Jackson so I can't say I like it if I've never seen it.
I also don't care if they are DCOM's or not, like I said, they are Disney movies and I love them. :D

What is a Disney DCOM? The only DCOM I am familiar with is the Microsoft's Windows Distributed Component Object Mode.

It doesn't really matter if you don't know what a DCOM is, but they are very worthwhile movies and I'd recommend them wholeheartedly. A DCOM stands for a Disney Channel Original Movie. A DCOM is quite simply a movie made for the Disney Channel. In my opinion, they are all good(from what I've seen) but some favourites of the viewing public include Cadet Kelly, The Cheetah Girls, The Even Stevens Movie, Kim Possible Movie-So The Drama and Get A Clue. Yes, these are all popular for the hot, young stars in them, for example, Hilary Duff, Raven, Shia LeBeouf, Christy Carlson Romano and Lindsay Lohan, but I find them to be very wholesome and satisfying movies, which of late have finished off some popular Disney Channel series, including Kim Possible, The Proud Family, Even Stevens, and even That's So Raven has been rumoured to be having a DCOM of their own.
I have calculated that there has been 57 DCOMs made since 1997, and here is a list of all the DCOMs to date- http://www.ultimatedisney.com/tvmovies.htm#dcom
(NOTE- Kim Possible- A Sitch In Time and P.U.N.K.S are not DCOMs)
Only a handful of them have been released to DVD, 9 have been either released already or about to be released, and if you were to rent/buy one I'd recommend to start your DCOM collection off with Cadet Kelly- released on 28th June, 2005.
As with Disney TV Series, Disney Channel TV Series and Disney Made for TV Movies, Disney will take a while to put them all on to DVD. With the ones currently on DVD, they have next to no bonus features, but apparently all DCOMs ever made have had a behind-the-scenes featurette made, shown on the Disney Channel, with no specific timeslot and under the title of DCOM Extras, so Disney has no reason for barebones DCOM DVDs. As this thread has already stated, Disney are currently holding a competition of some sort where you vote online, at the official Disney Channel site for your favourite DCOM to be shown, ahead of the latest DCOM- 'Go Figure'- and hosted by Phil of the Future and DCOM stars, Alyson Michalka and Ricky Ullman. Us DCOM fans are hoping that this is a marketing ploy, secretly trying to find out what are the most popular DCOMs, and therefore releasing them to DVD. I'd recommend voting, as these are wonderful movies, and they all deserve full DVD treatments. I'd also recommend doing a google search and an Amazon.com search of Disney Channel Original Movies, and also searching on this website for DCOMs, as I've already participated in a few DCOM discussions and then you'll have more of an idea about DCOMs, the movies for all Disney Channel fans.

They are also available in Australia, and yes, they are barebones.
