Hi,

I've been reading this group for a month or so now and finally decided to register. It's been a great source of information.

I recently ordered three of the 4 Wave 3 treasures. I have not ordered the Tomorrowland one because I'm just not familiar with the content. Can anyone tell me about the shows that will be on that disc. I've probably seen some of them, its just been a long time since I've seen them.

I think what our friend was asking for was a description of the content of the shows.... Sayingthe show "Our friend the Atom" is on it, means nothing if he doesn't know what the show was about or what was on it... was it mostly live action, did it have cartoon shorts? Something along those lines...

I think of all the Treasures sets coming out this year, this is the one I'll be most likely to buy. I can't resist programs like this and those made about Disneyland.

"Our Friend the Atom" was released theatrically in Europe and aired on TV January 1957.

"Man in Space" and "Mars and Beyond" were live-action shorts in theaters in 1956 and 1957, respectively.

They have the entire 24 minute film there in Quicktime, along with lots of great info on the original idea for Epcot.

I saw two of the Disneyland episodes on the DVD, "Man in Space" and "Mars and Beyond", a couple of years ago on the Disney channel in their late nigt "Vault Disney" block. They had, as usual, Walt discussing the topic interspersed with animated bits.

If I recall correctly, they each had a funny animation bit and an animation set based on futruistic concept drawings of space craft.

I considered them among the best of the old shows.
