Is anyone plan on going or have gone already to see the celebrations and stuff going on for Disneyland's 50th anniversary celebration of "The Happeist Place on Earth"?
I doubt I'll make it, kind of ticks me off, but money is an issue. I've been reading up on Jim Hill Media's articles on how it's progressing and recently May 5th saw Disneyland's streets as jam packed, one of the most crowded days ever.
The real stuff doesn't begin until around the middle of July (is that right?) Also, was it true Leann Rimes recorded a special song for the celebrations? If so, what was it called?

I wanna go, but instead I'll be at home watching the video of the [amazing] show: "Remember... Dreams Come True"

I'm going tomorrow for Mother's Day...again.
(Last year I took Mom to Disneyland for Mother's Day...I'm so uncreative...)

I would've like to have taken my Mom for Mom's day. I wonder if Disneyland gave discounts for moms?

I had a friend just get back.
He said the best part was at the beginning of new parade when they play Walt's welcoming speech.

I *might* go. I actually hate going to Disneyland in the summer because it gets way too hot and the lines are crazy long. I did order the free 50th celebration DVD and so my decision will probably be based on how effective a marketing tool that DVD ends up being.

I'll be working through it at WDW, so I'll probably have a chance on my off days to check out any of the special stuff.
Word of advice, DO NOT COME HERE IN JULY. It'll be packed enough as is for Fourth of July, but now with the 50th, more people will want to celebrate at WDW than at DLR. Silly, huh? But if you think about it, there's more celebration at WDW than at DLR for DLR's 50th.

August sounds good to go...the month before fall quarter stars!
June, maybe.
Then again, we're just lazy..it's only 2 hours away.

No not me, I have to get a job first to afford something like that. But don't get me wrong I would totally go there if I could.
