Saw the following on amazon.com due on Nov. 4-

Rolie Polie Olie-Olie's Winter Wonderland
Winnie the Pooh-Seasons of Giving

The Winnie DVD is a new to DVD release-it was previously on VHS. Not sure about the Olie one.

That's cool about Seasons of Giving. I had wanted to get that back in '99 but Disney did VHS only. Of course, now there is so much else to get that this will probably have to take a back seat.

But it can be removed from the International Exclusives section. Thanks for the info.

You're welcome! I feel like you-there is SOOOO much coming out all at once it is sort of overwhelming. And-I have a trip to WDW planned for the first part of Dec. Don't know how I am going to juggle all of these new DVD's and have extra dough for stuff at WDW, but somehow, I'll find a way! :D

What exactly is on Seasons of Giving?
I'm sure I'll get it anyways (it is coming out here soon probably), but is it more Xmas stuff, or something else?
Does it double-up with stuff already on Very Merry Pooh Year?
Anyways, good to see the global coverage of Pooh marching onwards...

It was a new direct-to-video feature released in '99. Christmas-themed. Very Merry Pooh Year might duplicate some of it, but I *think* that Seasons of Giving itself is entirely original.

Thanks Luke.
You know me - I'm sure to pick it up anyways.
But I love anything Xmas related (and especially if it is Disney).

Ha! I ALMOST picked that up...
I bought the B & TB/Magical World twin pack from the UK (!), as it was the only version of the original that would work on my player...

Disneyfella - there IS something about Christmas stuff that I just can't place...but I ALWAYS dig it. I think it would be a super Treasures tin...

I bought it to Complete my Beauty and the Beast Box Set

Season's of Giving is not Christmas themed, but holiday/winter themed. It includes the TV special "A Winnie the Pooh Thanksgiving" and possibly the episodes from the TV series about "GroundPiglet Day" and about when Rabbit took in Kessie, the blue bird. Somehow it's all tied together.

loomis i thought no one would be as obsessed with the holiday season as i am. i seriously deck the halls for christmas. when i'm through it looks like old saint nick threw up on the room. i will buy the tackiest decorations and use 14 million strands of lights! sadly, though, i can't find mickey's once upon a christmas dvd anywhere. i can't wait for the rerelease at christmas. "yule" be my new christmas buddy! (ha ha ha ha, i had to fit the word "yule" in somehow)

That's strange-I thought I was warning you (a lot of people were disappointed by Seasons of Giving, expecting a full-length Christmas movie).
good to know that you're a fan of the tv series, too.

I only wish that these Pooh sequels and direct to video features should end one day!
They are too many already...fun that someone like them - but do you not think there is enough already?

You are entitled to you opinion Chernabog, but you can never have too much Pooh (unless they're re-releasing the same titles under a new name a la Winnie the Pooh and Christmas Too released in A Very Merry pooh Year-then they're just ripping us off).

Dare I say we are up to our waists in Pooh? :o

I do enjoy Pooh, as does my daughter, but man there are just so many out there I'm dizzy trying to kep them all straight.

Oh man.....that is truly cringe-worthy. I couldn't have come up with a worse pun myself.
Well, done !!! Outstanding stuff :D
I never used to be this bad, but there is something about the Xmas programs coming on TV that just gets you in the season to be jolly....
Having them on DVD will (yule)TIDE me over until then...
Oh, that was worse....

Chernabog & Indiana - I love Pooh and will buy anything Pooh related. But you are right - there seems to be a new release every few weeks now - hard to keep up with them all. It take away from the 'special' feeling of a Pooh toon if you are bombarded with them. Like the Treasures, it is nicer when all of our Christmasses don't come at once... (jut to keep up the theme).

From the VHS information page:
With charm and joy, and in the spirit of the holiday season, Disney presents WINNIE THE POOH: SEASONS OF GIVING -- a full-length adventure that celebrates family and friends and the true meaning of the holidays. The adventure begins once upon a cold and blustery day in the Hundred Acre Wood when Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, and Rabbit set out on a quest for winter -- a favorite season they seem to have missed. And that leads to a wild search for the perfect ingredients for a festive Thanksgiving feast, and finally to Christmas, and a surprise visit from a special friend. Enriched with five songs new to video, these charming tales fill your heart with the wonder of the season and the whimsy that is Pooh. WINNIE THE POOH: SEASONS OF GIVING is a delightful way for your entire family to celebrate this enchanting time all season long.

Thanks Starion...
Sounds like there MIGHT be some double-up with 'Very Merry Pooh Year'.

But I'll still probably get the local copy for whatever it is I don't have...
