^-- that has some feedback from UD-ers regarding the titles you are speaking of.

For Lady and the Tramp, you should wait for the (probable) Platinum release.

I believe Dumbo should get a better treatment..hopefully sometime in the future.

Oliver & Co. and The Rescuers Down Under are great films! :)
(The reason I haven't bought them yet is because I'm secretly ;) hoping Disney will give Oliver a 2-Disc...and I can just wait on the Rescuers since there's a lot at Wal-Mart and Best Buy.)

The other three movies, I haven't seen or don't remember. If you click the first link, I'm sure other UD-ers have posted their opinions on those movies. :eye:

Dumbo
picture quality is not great, I would wait for an inevitable 2 disc

Saludos Amigos
Slightly edited but doubtful that a better release will surface any time soon, so I would go ahead

Three Caballeros
Great film, picture quality is reasonably good. Lacking in bonus features, but I doubt a better release will be here soon so I would go ahead too!

Melody Time
Edited and shoddy, don't bother with r1. If you really want this film, get the undeited UK or Australian copy

Lady and the Tramp
Wait until next March for 2 disc SE

Rescuers Down Under
Great picture quality, bonus features not great. Possible that a 2 disc (or 3 disc with the Rescuers combo) could appear although not for a few years I would say. I would go ahead with this one.

Oliver and Company
Picture not great but is certainly a good clean up but Bonus features are good. Doubtful there will be a 2 disc soon, so I would go ahead with this too!

If you want reviews of the actual movies, check out Luke's reviews.

If you can get it, get Lady and the Tramp just to sell on E-Bay. It's out of print and could go for mega-bucks, despite a 2 Disc set being nine months away. People will do that, sadly.

Of the other ones listed, I'd get Dumbo, The Rescuers Down Under and Oliver and Company.

Yea, I know someone on this forum who will pay more than the MSRP of a 2-Disc LATT.

I would go for everything else despite Lady and the Tramp and Melody Time, as said before L&T is getting a PE release next year and Melody Time has a better UK release, but if it really doesn't matter than go for that too.

Yes, I'd get this. It's a good film and although DVD quality is pretty blah, it's probably the only release it will get.

I think that you would enjoy all of those movies, but out of all of them, "Dumbo," "Lady and the Tramp" and "Rescuers Down Under" are all MUST HAVES. I would get "Dumbo" and "Rescuers Down Under" now and then I would wait for the announced "Lady and the Tramp" Platinum Edition which as stated above is coming out next year.

i saw it last night and when came back to get it... it was gone.

isn't that Dumbo is going to be re-release late this year?

what's the difference between the rescuers and the rescuers down under?

IMO, rescuers down under was better. ;)

You probably won't want to read, but the reviews are helpful!

Dumbo: I'd say wait for a new release but that is unlikely to happen so maybe you might want to get it now if it's a movie you really like.

Lady and the Tramp: Wait for the 2 disc Platinum Edition.

Oliver and Company: If you really like this movie get it now because the Gold Collection ain't at all that bad.
