Aladdin came out in October...then II and III came out in January.
Maybe it will have a rerelase sometime in 4 months?

There have been some rumors of a special edition of "Pocahontas II" for some time (some indicate it might even be a 2-discer). All we can do is wait... although "Pocahontas II" is a prety blah film

I am actually hesitant to buy Pocahontas II because I've never seen it before. But I'd probably end up buying it if it came out on special edition.

Is number two any good? I really like the first one, I just hope they didn't ruin it with the sequel...

I thought the sequel was OK....The animation's pretty good for a DTV,and the songs sung by Pocahontas(still voiced by Irene Bedard, with Judy Kuhn singing) were good....
However.....BIG SPOILER....
If you really like Pocahontas and John Smith as a couple, then you might not like it....The sequel introduces John Rolfe, and he and Pocahontas end up together...

Well, I thought Pocahontas 2 was great as a history film and a sequel.

But... That's what happened! How can you complain about Disney following historical events (well, loosely following historical events)?

Actually, that didn't bother me( John Rolfe is a good character(voiced by Billy Zane,I believe),and I did like the sequel after all)....I just thought it might bother people who were used to Pocahontas and John Smith as a couple(even though they didn't end up together in real life,either)....

I really like Pocahontas :JtaNW, I think it is one of the best disney sequels, and the animation is excellent considering the time period which it was made, ( no doubt had it been made it todays amazing new sequel wave..the animation would be almost to the original...but JtaNW holds up despite it's age.) I also like that it keeps the tone of "Realism" that the original had... one of the things i loved of the original is how realistic john smith and pocahontas relationship was...They were two people who found each other despite thier upbringing, and helped each other change, but ultimately in real life we dont get to be with those we care for most...and thus in part two...by the time pocahontas and john smith had been reunited, thier lives had changed...John Smith was always the adventurer, so he wouldnt be able to give up his dream of manning his own ship....but over time Pocahontas realized her role was to help her people fit into this crazy "New World" ordeal, She is a leader...so it only makes sense that she and John Rolfe would be so fitting. He is a diplomat after all.I love both films...and i love both couples for very different reasons...just like buffy/angel and buffy/spike (sorry big BtVS fan) I hope it gets released in 2 disc or at least a new treatment.

Welcome to the forum. Remember that the "Search" feature is your friend. We don't really have an answer for you, but there is a recent thread of people sharing their thoughts. I'll merge with that.

Well
Germany is getting one! 2 Discs and all (although the 31st December date makes it look like the release is in "limbo" for now)
It's important to note though that sometimes France and Germany get 2 disc editions of films which exactly the same content as the single disc versions in America and the UK. I think this is because their local copies generally have more soundtracks. It's not unusual for a French DVD to have 2 DTS soundtracks and 2 DD 5.1 soundtracks for example.
However, I am not aware of any Disney DVDs using this practice in the past.

Welcome to the forum,
bballpinoy415!
a 2-Disc sequel?! Has that ever happened for us region 1 people?

That'd be nice! Then when they re-release it, they can throw in a Percy or Meeko plush!
But I don't think they'd re-release it...it sells here at Best Buy for $22.99. O_o

Did this go out of print?
Because I saw it at Best Buy today and almost picked it up. It was about $16.99.

According to this, Pocahontas II is not OOP. I too see it at Best Buy for the same price, but I don't think a sequel should be more expensive than it's original.

(But a 2-Disc sounds nice...as always.
