Frank and Ollie-is this one going to be hard to find?

Does anyone know any specifics on the Frank and Ollie DVD? I notice there is no link to purchase it from amazon.com. Last year, I had to purchase my copy of the Walt Disney Story DVD from a Disney Store in NYC. Any ideas on this one?
Thanks-
Leesa
Heading out now to pick up Stitch! The Movie!!

I hope it won't be. I searched everywhere and couldn't find a copy of Walt: The Man Behind the Myth DVD or VHS.

I think it's supposed to be wide release, but no one has put it up for pre-order yet, which is odd.

I never could find Walt anywhere, not even on Amazon. Finally found it at Disneyland this weekend. Hopefully that won't happen with Frank and Ollie, but I'm not optomistic.

As far as I know, "Walt" is a Disney parks exclusive. It's a shame, because I wanted this DVD so much... I hope they don't do the same to "Frank & Ollie"

Walt wasn't a "parks" exclusive. The Disneystore.com had them for a VERY short time and I purchased mine at the Disney Store in Times Square in NYC. I had to call around to a few Disney Stores to find it and just figured I would start with the largest stores and work my way down. As I recall, they didn't charge much shipping either. If Frank and Ollie is done this way, then they are a good source.

Overstock.com has this in Video format for 13.99. You might try there. Can't seem to find it still available on DVD.
Hope this helps-

I got mine through Ebay, if you're willing to spend money though, I think the Mainstreet Store website still has copies for sale but I forget the address.

Wow, Im happy I checked!!
http://www.mainstreetmegastore.com/pd_walt_the.cfm
Not only is 'Walt: The Man Behind The Myth' available for purchase for $29.99, but...

... SO ARE ALL THE DISNEY TREASURE SETS!!!
Btw, is anyone farmiliar with the park exclusives because I purchased this dvd from Ebay earlier in the year (very happy i did considering it's sold out status and the fact it's advertised at $65.00)...
http://www.mainstreetmegastore.com/pd_w ... rldthe.cfm
But I was also considering buying "Where The Magic Lives" as seen here...
http://www.mainstreetmegastore.com/pd_where_magic.cfm
However, I was informed that the content is almost exactly identical and most of the actual DisneyWorld footage is just rehashed from the 100 Years Of Magic release, does anybody know about this or own either of the 2?
Anyways, I was just browsing through the stock at the Main Street Megastore and they really have some great videos and stuff for sale...

They will only rise my friend, with the new wave dropping in 4 months, you'll be lucky to find them at all let alone for $65. You'd have to get pretty lucky on Ebay...

The one thing I have learned about the Treasures is get them while they're hot. I almost missed the first wave myself and I swore never again. No matter the cost, I do get the Treasures always.

I tend to agree that the prices of these are only going to go up, and that is why I'm so keen to snap these all up before December.
However, I think $65 is a bit steep for Behind the Scenes, Disneyland & Davy Crockett - all of which I got from retail stores in the last 2 weeks for $25! (DVDEmpire, Amazon.ca, and VideoUniverse.com respectively).
eBay sees an average of $30-$40 for Goofy & MM B & W, $45-$50 for SS and $80-$120 for MMILC.
There are some great deals out there, but you just have to look (and be fast!).
Anyways, this isn't a bit pricey for my budget, but OK if you don't trust eBayers

Lots of OOP titles there, although some of them are $95 too!

And also keep in mind recent scuttlebut is the Treasures will be re-released at some point, just not in the tins. We're still waiting for more news on that.

part of me hopes they don't do that. It's what keeps the treasures so vaulable. However, I also want others to enjoy them as well. If they do re-release them, they might do so at a way later date and hopefully as "second printing" like books come out. First editions are always more vaulable.

Well, the bottom line is a.) a lot of people missed the first wave of the Treasures and want another bite at the apple and b.) truth be told, Disney didn't make a lot of money of the first wave. So, the reasons for a re-release are two fold - one more shot for those who missed it and a way for Disney to recoup on the investment.
One would hope some of the edits are fixed though. Disneyland USA is a BIG victim of edits. "Uncensored special edition", my eye!

Yeah, as much as I'd hate to think I paid all that money for something that will be rereleased, I do really think the 'Treasures' are something that should be 'Treasured' by more people, particularly by Disney fans outside the US.
Doesn't look as though they have any plans to discontinue the line either, and there is loads of material left to put out on DVD (new thread? Treasure Wishlist?). It would be nice to think that by the time Wave 4 comes out, there will still be opportunities to see the stuff from the early waves on DVD without mortgaging your house...

Does anyone know for sure if the first two waves were offered by the DMC when they first came out? I know they have the 1st ones available now, but if the new ones are going to be available in December, I might as well open a new membership, get the three free, order the 1st wave (which I'm going to do anyway) and then order through them. That would fulfill my obligation and get three free..plus if I get my friend to join instead of me, I can send them his email address and when he joins I get another one free...
Oh, and by the way, my screen name doesn't really reflect me...It's my daughter's name - I'm buying these for her.....

No, it took a while for them to offer the First Wave, and then they disappeared, only to recently return. They still haven't offered the Second Wave.
