Star Tours

Wow more great news for Disneyland. The 50th will still be pretty lame but they are starting to stack the deck for the next couple of years.

George Lucas leaked that they are going to redo Star Tours with a Lord of the Sith tie in. Add this to Nemo replacing the subs, Monsters over Superstar Limo, the return of Space Mountain and People Movers and putting the Rocket Rods back where they belong and it starting to look a lot better. Tommorowland wont be a ghost town anymore.

This is great news! Star Tours has always been one of my favorite rides and I'm gald it will get an update soon as long as they don't put in a Jar-Jar Binks animatronic any where  . Anyways Tomorrowland is starting to look good again. As long as they do everything Mr. Toad said, put the Astro Orbiter back on top, replace the HISTA 3-D show with another 3-D show and raplace Innoventions with anything then Tomorrowland will be perfect! :D

Things are looking up for Tomorrowland! This redo should also be arriving to Disney World.

Except that Star Tours is not in Tomorrowland at Disneyworld, and not in the Magic Kingdom at all. It is located at the Disney/MGM park.

I think he meant it's looking up for TL at DL, where Star Tours is located, I believe, and that it will be coming to Disney World's MGM version. :)

I never said anything about the Magic Kingdom. :)

You were talking about renovating Tomorrowland. I just meant that renovating Tomorrowland wouldn't benefit Star Tours at Disneyworld, since it's not in Tomorrowland.

:? No I wasn't.
A refurb is neccessary for both since as much fun as they are, they're both extremely dated! Disneyland has the extra reason of having a lame Tomorrowland! :P

Then what did you mean when you said: "Things are looking up for Tomorrowland! This redo should also be arriving to Disney World."?

Things are looking up for Disneyland's Tomorrowland. I heard it will also be arriving to Disney World (MGM Studios). I hope I'm clearer now. :)

Yeah, I've been anxiously awaiting the update of Star Tours. It'll be fantastic! I had no idea about Rocket Rods returning though, that's awesome. Thanks!

I don't think Rocket Rods will be returning but I think the people mover will be returning.

Sorry if I misposted. The Rockets will be returning to their old place under this plan. The Rocket Rods are gone forever it would seem.

The People Movers? That old ride when people supposedly shrank?

No that's "Honey I shrunk the Audience" which is STILL open at Disneyland. The people-mover was the slow ride where you go to view Tomorrowland. Have you ever wondered what those old tracks above you were used for?

I'm young and don't really remember this ride. Could somebody explain what happened when you went on it?

Go here: http://www.yesterland.com/peoplemover.html

You really didn't do much but sit and watch the views. And sadly at one point this was my Mom's favorite ride!

That sounds really dumb. No wonder why they closed it!
