RJKD23... Great price on Blade Trilogy. Will have to my local store and see if they are selling it for the same price. I want this set but it seems cheapest I found local was at Walmart for 49.

I've fixed the thread title for Aaron because I spoke erroneously in labeling the last thread a "Part 2." Jack had made the New DVD Thread, then a Part 2, then a 2005 one, before falling off the face of the Internet. So this would be Part 4, I suppose. Though I was kind of hoping for something more creative, like "Seasons of Giving" or "Beauty Comes From Within." ;)

Actually, this should be part 5...

The New DVD Thread
The New DVD Thread 2
The New DVD Thread 3
The New DVD Thread 2005 (Part 4)

I just thought that I'd nit-pick.

Yes very nice thread. And a friend recently made 2 awesome dvd sets for me that I got in the mail yesterday.

A 28 episode set of THe Mothers In Law with Eve Arden and Kaye Ballard
A 24 Episode Set of Father Knows Best with Robert Young

2 Great classic tv shows.

Yes, it looks like you're right, Wondy. I fixed it and tried to spruce up the title a little for Luke. I hope everyone's happy now! :P

It had to do with a price match of $45.00 and a discount from our friend who's been working at Best Buy for a long time.. :)

I just ordered Star Trek: Enterprise, Season One ... pre-ordered, actually, so ... but, other than that ... haven't acquired any new videos in quite some time. Been slowin' down, on that front.

The Phantom of the Opera UK - Astonishingly, it comes in a slipcase! Sadly, its a EiV disc, so the cover sucks. I'm pretty sure most of the authoring will suck as well. :(

Charley Says: Limited Edition Vol 1 and Vol 2 - over 280 live action and animated public information films issued by the UK govenment, including my favorite "You may as well be setting a mantrap!" (about polished floors, believe it or not!)

A Series of Unfortunate Events Special Collectors Edition - The book was a wonderful surprise, as it was mentioned nowhere in the various announcements. (Not one I saw anyhow).

Mystery Science Theatre 3000 Vol 7 - "Deep hurting"

Miracles - The Complete Series - Interestingly, an ABC Television series licenced out to Shout! Factory. Will there be more?

Ocean's 12 - Disappointingly barebones. I expect there will be a 2 disc edition soon. However, I don't like the film enough to care.

Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law Vol 1 - Pure comic genius. Essential viewing if you're at the age that you grew up watching Hanna Barbera cartoons in the 70's and early 80's.

Space Ghost Coast to Coast Vol 3 - This has almost twice as many episodes as Vol 1 or Vol 2, or indeed any other Adult Swim release. Why can't they all have this many.

I must just say, the Adult Swim releases all have excellent packaging. Although they are all just 2 disc digipacks with slipcovers, they really go out of their way to make them look and even feel special (I love the "canvas" feel of the Brak paint-by-numbers cover).

Ellen - Complete Season One
Haven't seen it in years but I was compelled to buy it! Pleasantly surprised, although still finding it's feet. I guess Season 2 is where it gets good

Hoppity Goes to Town
I now have a complete collection of the Fleischer Studios classic features! All 2 of them! This is a brilliant film, however unlike Gulliver's Travels no one seems to know it exists. Typical PD release.

The Flintstones - Season One
Again, compelled by an urge to but this! Lack of theme tune always diappoints but hey. Episodes are hit and miss in this First Season, but on the whole worth the money. Annoying how episodes alternate between having and not having a laugh track!

How is it compared to the original?

Anyway, I just got the Spiderman 1+2 Box Set. I also ordered the X-Men SEs Box Set.
I'm considering getting the R1 version of Alice in Wonderland. Can anyone recommend it, and/or maybe compare it to another Disney release on the same level of features?
