Oh my god, let me just say I kind of thought the current state of pop was in pretty sad shape already. Now there are stupid little KIDS singing the pop songs and people actually buy this garbage. I am SO unbelievably beyond offended and disgusted. I think the people who invented this should be shot, first having the very tips of their fingers and toes blown off so that they still have significant mangling and bleeding before the real arteries are shattered. Every time I see one of those commercials on, I have to bite my ankles to keep from kicking my TV set in and having to go out and buy a whole new one. It's like the little bastards are buying/having their middle class soccer moms and dads buy them these CDs because they're just like having karaoke recordings of themselves singing these songs. It's totally narcissistic, and inappropriate, and creates weird egos in kids, thereby corrupting them. And if you know the kind of kids who listen to this crap- don't you think they're OBNOXIOUS enough?!

I think they're hilarious. (Absolutely terrible but hilarious nonetheless.)

Those little kids probably have no clue in hell what they're singing about (all the more thinly veiled parts about sex and whatnot). x3*

You have to love it for it's camp / cheese appeal, for which, there is plenty. I mean, COME ON! People like Full House, The Sopranos, Who's the Boss- CHASING FARRAH for god's sake! Though I don't know who would actually admit to that.

Personaly I wouldn't buy them, but I'm 20 years old. One thing you have to think about when looking at things like this: The people who made them didn't really have adults in mind, they had kids in mind. And kids like stuff like this, so I don't see anything wrong with it, even if it is a little annoying.

Yeah, why for instance would you buy a cd with kids singing the Britney Spears song "Toxic" instead of the original? What a waste of money.

Ahh but they are following the great tradition of Bette Midler, Don Johnson, Bruce Willis and many others who thought their name value would carry to a recording career. None of them could sing either.

Not to mention William Shatner. However, I think he's a better singer than Britney. OMG!!! worst half-time show ever when they let her sing with Aerosmith. BLAHHHH!!! I hope someone got fired over that one.
