USA Today showed the first picture of Brandon Routh as Superman. Being a HUGe Supes fan, I am so excited about this! When I first read the description, I wasn;t sure about the new belt buckle, but it's not bad. Overall, I like it a lot!

What do you guys think?

The belt buckle looks interesting as well as the "darker" colors, but I still prefer the original costume that I see and grew up watching.
Hope the movie will be good!

Of course, that's my comment about the fact that Bryan Singer cast Brandon Routh as Superman. He was HORRIBLE on One Life to Live (where he played Seth not-important-enough-for-me-to-remember-his-last-name from 2001-2002), I don't see how he got the part of Superman.

Eh Im Not Sure. I hear ppl saying this routh guy is a horrible actor.. the "s" is too small on him plus he doesnt look that muscular for the part of supes IMO.

did they pick this guy up at some christopher reeve look a like contest or something? He looks a lot like him in my opinion. As for the suite... I dunno, looks okay. The image is way too small to judge the entire movie.

He truly was BAAAAD on One Life to Live. One of the reasons soaps get a bad rep. Actors like him, Maximilian Alexander, Molly Stanton, Jesse Metcalfe (who HAD to have slept with someone to get the role in Desperate Housewives), and a slew of others.

To think a GOOD actor like Matthew Bomer (ex-Ben Reade, Guiding Light 2002-2004) was passed over for Superman and a BAD actor like Brandon Routh got it instead.

This actor may be okay as Superman. But in my opinion, no one could be better than Christopher Reeves.

I guess we disagree then cause I loved him on OLTL. Jesse Metcalfe is great too. Brandon was getting a pretty good following on OLTL and usually bad actors don't get followings

I remember when Eva Longoria was on the Young and the Restless and people hated her, they said she was the worst actress ever on Y & R and things like that, and now they all love her.


Actually soaps get bad reps cause of bad writing and people who are in charge who shouldn't be in charge in the first place *coughBrianFronscough*

BATMAN will always be the best hero!

Even tough I'm no fan of Superman I must say that no matter how many years pass, eventually he will look horrible in live action. He's costume doesn't translate well in camera.

What I don't like about this DC return to the big screen if the fact that they want to retell the origins of these heroes when this was already done in their first movies. I know they're doing that for the new generation but come on! The movies are alerady there, just go rent the movie and get the facts.

I'm afraid these movies we'll be slow in pacing as all first superheroes movies are and with no need because having their origins already they can jump right into action.

I am a big superman fan it it looks pretty good the suit!
