How about a links forum?

I think it's be good for forum members to have a place to plug their related and perhaps not-so-related sites.

There's the profile field that shows up in your profile and each post, and your signature for posting links. Any more than that and I think you're inviting people to simply promote their own interests and that's not why people come to the forum. If you want more advertising than that, your best bet is to buy some ads with Google and they can show up above!

Well, true. I did a link post in Gen. Disc. but I mentioned that I won't be offended if it's moved/closed/deleted/etc. 
But yes, I keep forgetting all the boards that have links forums with all these jackholes who only come to plug a site and never contribute anything.
